Supra hasn’t signed a deal to supply podium kicks to Olympic athletes like Nike, but they too are joining the party in the London leadup with a patriotic take on their first running design. The Supra Owen ‘London 2012’ is a bold mix of red atop blue mesh with a white sole and gold branding, a departure from the navy we’re more accustomed to seeing with USA Olympic designs that gives these an added punch. A golden footbed is a nice finishing touch and has the effect of attracting your attention to the SUPRAFOAM EVA compound they share in common with the rest of the Crown brand’s releases. Hopefully, skateboarding will make it into the Rio Games four years from now, and the ‘London 2012’ Owens are yours for the taking starting Wednesday, July 11th at select retailers like SNS.
