Supra sparked a fire with their first running/training sneaker, and now it’s only a matter of time before other action sports brands follow DC’s lead and get in on this niche with their own lightweight lowtops. But historians will remember that the Supra Owen started this trend, and bold colorways like the one pictured above should keep it in the lead for a while. These have a vaguely ‘Lakers Away’ look to them thanks to the purple sockliner and prominent yellow sole on an otherwise dark build; might we one day see the Crown brand expand on their Skytop III ambitions and issue a full-on basketball sneaker? Let’s not get ahead of ourselves: there’s still plenty of training to get to the point of further expansion, and you can get started with this new Owen available at Kith.
