Sneaker Con DC July 2012 Feet Recap

Earlier today we gave you a full rundown of how Sneaker Con got down in DC in its third visit. Without question, Sneaker Con was another success – thousands of patrons showed up to swap kicks, vendors came through to display collection, and anyone who attended left the event happy as can be. With Sneaker Con making yet another stop in its 2012 tour in Miami this weekend, South Beach is ready to set ablaze, but before we officially move down to Florida, why not take a look at all the heat that was worn in DC? Did nobody notice how clean those Columbia XI were. I wish my pair was that icy
Melvins look great. Camo Jeremy Scotts were rocked really well. Paris are my all time favorite. Platinum Yeezys are beautiful.
Damn, I just realize I have 14 pairs of the kicks listed here…SMDH. I like mine's better thou.

Sneaker Con is pretty lame honestly. I enjoy ShoeTopia A LOT more. Better people & WAYYYYYY more heat. Kinda disappointed that SneakerNews hasn't covered ShoeTopia on their site yet.....
@Remyred06 Honestly, you're the lame. Sneaker News hasnt covered it cuz there was like 100 people total at that event and it sucked. If I want to go to a club, I go to a club. If I want to pay $15 to bring 15+ pairs of shoes with me, flip them all, and make BANK throughout the day......ummmm I go to Sneaker Con. Its the stock market for kicks. If you want to hang out sippin mimosas talking to dudes about kicks then go to Shoetopia or any of these other stupid sneaker shows. Im in this game to make money and I've been to over 10 Sneaker Cons and done just that. Keep sippin Remyred and blowing dudes cuz they have heat on their feet. (Voice of God)
Yea but then again you're a reseller.............. And shoetopia aside, I think the majority of the people here think you should get a real job instead of spending all your time camping and taking shoes away from people who actually want em so you can turn a profit. You're a middle man. You hustle all over town making peanuts. I mean no disrespect, but then again I kind of do....... Voice of god???? voice of an idiot. Also sounds like someone hurt your feelings at shoetopia
@MartinD44 lol I dont stand in line. And for your info most of these kids standing in line are resellers themselves because everybody is trying to make a buck in this economy and they're willing to put in the work. there are so many resellers and competition is so high that is why someone like me doesn't have to stand in line to get a good price on kicks. Im not taking anything away from anybody bro cuz the fact is that if somebody wants the shoe bad enough they can go stand in line early (like the resellers do) as I'm sure you know and they'll get a pair. Unless of course its a raffle or twitter reserve and Nike stores are fixing the list like with Yeezys. Im a hard working guy and I pay extra to NOT stand in line but I make sure I get a price thats under market value so my investment is worth something some day. Don't hate the player, hate the game.
But as for Shoetopia where this argument started, it isn't about the love for the kick game, its about hanging out and at least me, NOT INTERESTED. I do enough of that without the kicks. So when I go to a show I want to sell what I feel like getting rid of and use the money to cop joints I don't have. Sorry if your boy Gabriel dont like the constructive criticism. Too bad. I'll be at Sneaker Con Miami in two days because its worth the trip. Holler
EXACTLY. College kids slangin bud ar the BIGGEST little middle men EVER. Run around all over town tryin to make $20 profit and smokin for free. Get a real job and pay for ur ish like a man. They need to leave the real weight to the bosses. And to you godwhateverthe!@#!@#: Don't quit your day job if u have 1, which I find hard to believe if youre campin all the time. Me?? If I want a shoe I gotta take a sat off to get it or save up n cop at flight club. I earn my kicks and I don't get greedy tryin to buy something I dont need takin it away from the fool in line behind me who got nothing. Middle men like you and capitalism have destroyed this country thinkin selfishly like that. THE PEOPLE WILL TAKE WHATS THERES! AND WE WILL COME FOR YOUR SHOES godblahblahblah. lol
@MartinD44 Actually you dont know me so you sound a little too ignorantly sure of yourself. I have an amazing job and thats why I can invest so much money into sneakers which has a higher interest and turnover rate than your savings account or even the stock market. Im a collector first, and I just flip sneakers to pay for my own elite gems letting the market do the work. Like a college kid selling bud to smoke for free. Everything I sell at an event I spend on buying sh*t I want for good deals. And the only thing that hurt my feelings was going to Shoetopia at all. Waste of time.

those olympic af1 highs look kinda shitty on foot, those mint leaf fiegs look great though, but og columbias blow everyone else out of the water. oh and plant lifes w/ lebrons may be the dumbest thing ive seen. those mulders are immaculate too, great to see sb heat get worn properly

..totally unimpressed..why would you post up a pic of fury's?? son's of mars??..why have heat if you dont rock it right..stay tuned for shoetopia 5 coming in november..you'll see what a real sneaker show is..
@GabrielSnkrfnd Sup Gabe SO you guys are hosting another shoetopia in November , I will def be there. Trust me people its shits on sneaker con and you get a lot more true sneaker heads versus the hypebeast crowd in DMV. BTW tell Los I said whats up gabe
@bougie4noreason yeah this one is gonna be stupid..we're bringing back the kicks and chicks..and we're gonna have an actual battle in different categories..best air max collection..best jordan collection..foams..etc.. i'll be announcing the venue soon..and trust me..its gonna be a dope spot..

A sneaker event is about showing how you rock sneakers (there is no right way or better opinion) and your connection to the community AND making MONEY!!! There is no money at Shoetopia, just a bunch of want to be "cool guys" sucking each other off thinking they do it better than the rest. #weak

After going to Sneaker Con in NYC and seeing what people rocked there and looking at what people had on at DC's, I have to conclude that DC sneaker community is surpassing a lot of place, DC is truly in the running to being a top sneaker meca

@Big_Infinite for what, never said DC surpassed NY, prob never will due to the fact NY is bigger, im speaking only on sneaker con, the shoes ppl had on were better hands down, in NY most of the top kicks were just being sold and the sellers had on basic everyday kicks, even the general public who came kicks did not compare to DC's at all, yea you had you Neck Breaking kicks, but DC had a lot more, there are shoes that I seen that arn't even posted, did you even go to both? If not then go count whatever shoe collection you have an make a YouTube video or something

Some good wears, some terrible ones. I really dont get wearing high socks pulled up like steve urkel, is that a fashion over there? I dont know about wearing Nike socks with a Sneaker Freaker Saucony colab either. Nice look of the brown pants with the tiffany dunks. Only one FlyKNit was a bit disappointing.. great shoe. And good to see some real sneakerheads rocking NB. Lots of cool wears though. Not too many hypebeasts either, just heat.

Paris, Carolina 11's, those all red joints with the crazy straps (I have no idea what they are) and the 1999 Cements, are the best out of the group. A lot of heat in there. But, and please excuse the cliche'd term... not enough "swag". In other words "I HATE WHEN PEOPLE CHOKE THEIR KICKS!!!'
@IgotthatFIRE The red pair with straps is an Isabel Marant Bekket "Red Rouge" in leather and suede. That is why my name is what it is. #BOSS
