The Olympic Flag has featured five colored rings symbolizing the world’s participating continents since 1920, but there’s one color even more strongly associated with the world’s premier sporting event. The Olympics would be unrecognizable were it not for the lure of gold, and this new Nike Free Powerlines+ NRG release reminds us that you’re not just going to show up and take the top prize without plenty of preparation. These ‘Gold Medal’ Free Powerlines add navy sockliners and red accents along with a lightly speckled sole to bring together the winning Team USA look with this series’ trail leanings, and you can see the finished design in more photos below.
