It’s not exactly the most likely scenario to see a bunch of British riders relocate to SoCal and start one of the most enduring skateboarding labels, but that’s exactly what FLIP has managed over the past two decades or so. We just saw new Supras from founding member Tom Penny, and now his countryman and friend Geoff Rowley reminds us that he’s been sponsored by Vans for almost twice as long as the Crown brand has existed. Vans then reaches even further into the history books to add one of its most iconic figures as the Vans Syndicate ‘Local Boyz’ pack pairs Z-Boys alum Tony Alva’s Vans Mid Skool with the Rowley SPV lowtop in a couple of colorways that’d have you thinking it was Ann Arbor and not southern California they’ve got in common. More photos await your click below, then find these Alvas and Rowleys at select retailers like Silo.
