Team USA was at least 113% better than the Nigerian national basketball squad on Thursday, and left London’s ‘Marshmallow’ arena with a handful of Olympic scoring records. The outcome was never in question, so even as USA Basketball uses each game as a chance to fine tune their collective, it’s all but a foregone conclusion that they’ll be contending for the gold medal on August 12th. Also tentatively locked in for that weekend is a Saturday, August 11th Asian release of the ‘Gold Medal’ Nike Lunar Hyperdunk, a variation on the ‘Sport Pack’ and LeBron James’ PEs thanks to a world-beating metallic Swoosh on the toes. Look them over in more detail after the jump, let us know where this year’s Hyperdunk reboot ranks compared to the past twenty years of Nike Basketball innovations we’ve been tracking here on Sneaker News and check back with us for the US release date.
