Classics Revisited: Nike Blazer Mid “City Park” (2005)

City Park Nike Blazer

NIKE BLAZER WEEK

Throughout this week’s  Classics Revisited feature of the Nike Blazer, we covered some significant collaborations of the last decade, covering Supreme’s Nike SB effort and the understated and perhaps forgotten Zoo York project. There are still a few other great ones out there, like Stussy’s 2002 duet of Blazers (and their co-collab with NEIGHBORHOOD Boneyards), the various Nike SB releases, the Twisted Prep Pack, etc., but this fifth and final spot of the week goes to a true sleeper hit – the Nike Blazer of the “City Park” Pack of 2005. What you’ll see is a stitched mosaic of of park-centric imagery, but look closely and you’ll find some familiar figures, like Charles Barkley in his signature ‘Dunk’ position flying away on a kite! This Premium release was a hot pick-up for Blazer fanatics (there was the first ‘Granite’ colorway in 2005 and a Black colorway in 2006), and while these don’t carry that ‘sexy’ factor like the high-profile collaborations featured throughout this week, the Nike Blazer ‘City Park’ deserves some shine!
