The main thing that separates Vans’ Authentics and Eras is the latter’s use of a padded ankle collar. But in a paradox of Theseusian proportions, it seems like taking that padding away doesn’t make the latter back into the former. The Vans Era Decon comes from the California collection in a couple of new two-toned releases, and since we hadn’t seen the black/grey edition in our July preview, we expect to see the olive and gold/brown editions coming up shortly. For now, check out the dark pair along with the rose/navy edition that might be the pick of the litter as far as this quartet is concerned, and grab yours today from Off the Wall partner DQM.
