Nike LeBron X – Officially Unveiled
August 12th, 2012 by Aaron Kr. | 52 comments

As the USA takes on Spain in the Olympic Gold Medal game this morning, LeBron James has left his Lunar Hyperdunks in the locker room, electing instead to debut the Nike LeBron X to the world. We’ve seen a few peeks at LeBron’s 10th signature Nike shoe, but with the whole world watching King James go for gold in London, what better time to officially unveil the shoe than with the stage so big and the lights so bright. Alongside LeBron wearing the shoe for the gold medal game, Nike has shared some crisp images of the upcoming LeBron X, shown in the same USA colorway seen on court today, but with a gold Swoosh replacing the red one seen on Bron’s pair. The LeBron X will break new ground by incorporating by a whopping four-piece of Nike performance technology – using Flywire and Hyperfuse construction on the upper, Nike+ capabilities and the first ever visible full length Zoom unit. Check out more pics and info after the jump and stay tuned for much more on the Nike LeBron X coming soon.
LeBron James is continuing one of the most successful seasons by any individual player in basketball history. This success can be attributed to the relentless dedication he’s taken to perfecting his game over time.
Forged by time, heat and pressure, the diamond is a precious and unbreakable gemstone that provides design and metaphoric inspiration for the new LEBRON X. Worn by James in the final matchup on August 12, the LEBRON X is constructed for dynamic containment, impact protection, and responsiveness to assist one of the game’s most explosive players.
This year marks the tenth anniversary of LeBron James’ partnership with Nike Basketball and the release of the LEBRON X comes at another breakthrough moment for Nike Basketball’s performance innovation platform. As the first signature basketball shoe featuring Nike+ Basketball technology in select colorways it can track and measure performance, while an app provides feedback. The shoe also offers a lock-down fit, excellent cushioning on impact, and a lightweight fit and feel.
Combining four of Nike’s most advanced innovations, the shoe features the first full-length visible Nike Zoom unit, dynamic Flywire technology, Hyperfuse construction and Nike+ Basketball brings the shoe to a whole new level.
Stay tuned for more on the LEBRON X.

super fresh and feelin that gold swosh with those laces.
I wonder if they gonna make a south beach out of these, would look good if the main color is that green like the 8s.
@BoricuaSole someone would say that smh
looks aside, it seems like a really sick balling shoe. full length zoom air? whaaaaaat! must cop as long as the price is alright.
I hope these release soon and they shld since it has the olympic theme
The gold swoosh really sets these off. I love the jagged design
These aint nothing but the Nike Hyperfuse 2011 and Lebron 8s put together...hop off the band wagon for real!!!
sneakers been borrowing attributes from other sneakers for yrs thats like complaing all versions of air maxes are the same cuz they got a air bubble
@kyucca so what if they fused together nobody complained when the jordan 1's looked like dunks or that the 3's and 4's look the same or that the 6's and 7's are similar...these sneakers are hot so hop off the hatewagon
If the regular version is like 170 or so I'll cop cause that Zoom looks like it'll be amazing but that Nike+ is really unnecessary for real ballers, especially considering the price hike.
I see they come with Nike+ Basketball. Wont be surprised to see that they will cost the same or even more as the lunarlon Hyprdunk 2012. Looks like i will be lucky to even buy one pair, i passed on the elite IXs and i can pass on these if the price isnt right
these will grow on people like the 9s did.
Ugly midsole and weird ugly shapes on the upper. Too many ugly jagged lines and triangles, just gone too weird. LESS IS MORE!
Also, am I the only one that noticed that Watch The Throne-esque lacelock?
...i wont jump the gun. I need to see more color-ways.
I like the shape better than the 9s, and this colorway is sick.
I kindof dont like the layout but im sure the different color schemes will make up for it
How come the one he wore in the game has a red swoosh and this one has a gold one? Does it change colors? For $300+ it better change colors, light up, and hover...
definitely lookin forward to the crazy colorways these are gonna release in. def cop.
these look like they took they're favorite parts from the 8 & 9 and put them together
the shoe is smooth especially with the gold accents but the price is whats gone be the turn off unfortunately
Knowing Nikes greedy ass all the good colorways will come with the Nike+ just so they can charge us the $315. Just wait andsee..

They're alright, the 8's & 9's are better than these, I need to see some on-foot pics with some jeans.
The gold sets it off. Good colorways will make this a good solid shoe
These look like 8v3 or something but that's not a bad thing. Already better looking than the 9s. Congrats team USA
the shoe is nice...but maybe the price later will reduce some of the nice effect of the shoe.....
this pair look wayyyyy better than the other still don't think ill cop but much better improvement than other pics
At first I wasn't too sure about these, but these are ok, let's just wait for more cw's
this colorway is alright better then the first one looks good for bball i dont about jeans yet
Nike gonna break everyone's pocket now
Can't wait for the better colorways
It's finnaly real full length visable zoom Nike take my money now thanks
@JulianScott It was visible enough the Lebron 7
@JulianScott *on the
@MaseratiMalc @SneakGuru THANK YOU SIR I was just about to say very different things Guru max air and zoom are are encapsulated way different to have visible zoom is pretty major let alone full length
@SneakGuru A full length AIR unit is much different than a full length ZOOM unit. Read twice, speak once.
For 315.00 lebron and Nike can keep them
dont think these even compare to the 9's hate the back swoosh hate the tongue... nike aint getting my 200 beans
@PatRiley These are way better than the 9's. The 9's are terrible.
@Gusto they just dont have a signature feel like i feel the 9's did
@PatRiley You must be from Niketalk....lol
damn, these are HOT. lebron is GETTING SOME NICE KICKS MADE for him. damn these are hot, i cant say NOTHING bad about them.
so gettin them ...hot for sure
These are hot any word on retail price?
@DwizzyVelasquez $315 for the + version, no joke.
@RileyL what about the regular version?
@RileyL @DwizzyVelasquez $180 for lebron X and $315 for nike+
@DwizzyVelasquez @RileyL idk, probably like $200 or so
These are crazy. I'm not even a Lebron fan but I definitely have these on the list
