Jordan CP3.VI “USA”
Yeah, yeah, LeBron turned plenty of heads with the roll out of his new sig on the court of the Gold Medal game against Spain but he wasn’t the only one doing so. Jordan Brand solider Chris Paul also took advantage of the international stage, slipping on a USA flavored pair of the upcoming Jordan CP3.VI. This sighting marks both the first time we’ve seen the sneaker on court and the first time we’ve gotten a good look at it beyond the catalog renderings and sterile product shots. Click through with us to check out Chris Paul’s upcoming Jordan CP3.VI in the ‘USA’ colorway as well as some in-game shots from Paul’s pretty performance that won him a gold medal for the mantle.
off court sales are whats important. they ARE making basketball shoes for playing basketball in, but everybody knows it aint cool to wear non-number series jordan brand jordans off court. if melos and CPs had a swoosh instead, theyd sell better.
...i have no idea how comfortable these are but they're ugly to me. And, I think CP3 deserves a better designed kick.
Justin Taylor designed this years melo and the CP, and the shoes appear to be somewhat similar is their design features. Word is that Jordan Brand is planning to stop the melo signature line after his 10th shoe, hopefully all the Olympic attention will boost his sales enough for him to keep his line.
@DominicD hope that isnt true the melo m8 is the most comfortable and best basketball shoe i have worn in years
@PatRiley It has nothing to do with the comfort and design, they're solid shoes, the issue is that melo's off-court persona doesn't get him much attention, the attention he needs to sell shoes. His new york color ways sell really well in new york, but not anywhere else. So Jordan Brand is planning on making him his own player editions, but not a signature model, I hope he can turn it around and keep his line though.
