Air Jordan 1 “Black/Royal” – Video Review
If you caught a glimpse of our coverage of the ShoeZeum in Las Vegas, you would’ve noticed Air Jordan 1 insanity displayed all around the space. 5 pairs of ’85 originals in one display, a game-worn autographed pair in another, the uber-rare UNC colorway in another – it was just a non-stop barrage of unbridled Air Jordan 1 dominance. Although we may have been a bit desensitized by the model considering Jordan Brand releases an AJ1 every month, this 2013 release will give the OG another jolt – just like 2011′s Banned 1s did. This video review give a pretty nice detailed view of the Air Jordan 1 ‘Black/Royal’, so check out the video and let us know if you’ll be copping this OG re-issue when they hit stores this early Spring.
@YoureMadLate Prices have gotten so expensive because inflation rises 2.5% per year on average. It has nothing to do with consumerism and everything todo with supply chain costs... nike does not make much profit per shoe.

wish there was no hype for this shoe like back in 01 when they hit clearence smh had my blk.red pair a month in advance for retail no hype
This guy said they're not his size & said he had to have them, what's he gonna do walk around with them in that dust bag or tie the laces together & hang them around his neck so they can drape over his shoulders?
Working on his sample game, had to have them, but says if your interested to inbox him.... No thanks I'll rock my 2001's that actually fit me & laugh while hypebeasts are camping out & paying $160 when back in 2001 I walked right in at 12:00 in the afternoon & paid $79.99, because back then nobody liked 1's they weren't cool because they didn't have patent leather
Still dont see why ppl want to be first when it comes to shoes like samples. Gotta get my sample game up, the days of waiting for a release date or a week or two early is gone. J's 4,5,6 months in advance make ppl feel like they running the shoe game
it shouldn't count as a review if u don't actually review the shoe...so...lol. shoes still look pretty good. hopin the red/white/black 1s come out in good quality with the same lack of jumpmen.
@ Some actually To some ppl, this is there 1st time to actually cop, meaning they were to young or just didn't have the money to get, but yea I see what your saying it sucks that every one camp just because now or buy the shoe just cause its a Jordan retro!! I don't think these will be 160 though, I heard no higher than 130, 1s were always cheaper than the other retros
@mrELsenor Exact thing what i was thinking! I honestly think ever OG colorway of the 1 should have nike instead of the jumpman
@erickwright21 Exactly...TOO YOUNG to cop back in 2001. All you KIDS who've been hypebeasting every releases are the reasons why prices are DOUBLED for a pair of Jordan 1's. I'm glad you kids have to go through this, it's called Consumerism and you've def been hustled by Nike. HAH!
@YoureMadLate Oh yeah . . . YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!
@YoureMadLate Are you done commenting yet? Haha do I personally inflict your life that much that you have to keep insulting me? What a joke haha. This KEV LOC KID don't buy tee shirts with played out sneaker designs on them :) , But hey, maybe some other "little kid" will bring your income in.
Like I said NOTHING costs the same as it did in the past! I don't care about the last pair of J's you bought, you yourself as a American citizen (I'm presuming) is still contributing to Consumerism! Just like you, I haven't bought J's in minute. To be exact the last pair of shoes I copped were some Nike Benassi Sandels at Famous Footwear for 10$. But you know what is pure comedy? Dude there is grown men crying and preaching . . .constantly . . about us"little kids" messing everything up! So keep at it, only losing more and more respect! Oops, I popped a blood vessel replying!
@erickwright21 @YoureMadLate @Kev @jordansince1988 ok Eazy E. First off, i don't buy J's. Last pair of jordans i copped were the black laser 4's. If you ask why i look at sneaker blogs it's because i make my money designing tee's for big clients, one of them is Nike. Since everyone and their mamma buy JORDANS i base some designs on future releases. And i think it's comedy seeing little kids get sucked into consumerism, look at this KEV LOC KID...Dude is crying and preaching sneakers haha. What a joke. But hey, kids like him is what brings my income in :) So keep at it kids! Don't pop a blood vessel replying!
@YoureMadLate @Kev Loco @jordansince1988 The argument was already done, Nike is playing every body, the value of the dollar has changed they would have gone up eventually, if buying Js then your part of it, if your not buying Js then why are you bitching Candy used to be 5 cents and they go from $1-$5
@jordansince1988 @Kev Loco @YoureMadLate I cant stress this enough, nobody cares if they seen any of his games, if the shoe is hot then it will be bought, I've seen 30-40 year old ppl buy Js that been sitting on the walls for years, and they didn't know what it was, not every adult/teenager buys something because of its history, and if you truly believe prices are going up because of kids, you are part of it, it doesn't matter if you don't buy every retro, if your still buying Js, then your the same as every one else, haha think!!! I don't see not too many ppl buying cars because of its history, they buy it cause it's Hooooottttt!!!!!!!?!?!
@jordansince1988 Honestly! I can't truly respect people like you, who blame "us children & kids" just because prices have gone up over the past years! Look around you, everything does not cost the same as it did in the past. Is that the fault of us kids as well? No! I did not know being born in a certain time period would make me a "wannabe" or a "hypebeast"! I love sneakers as much as you, and I may not know every single detail about the history of Micheal Jordan and Air Jordan but I do know a large amount of his past and his sneakers as well!
We come to this website for the same reason . . . and that reason is we both love sneakers! The only difference is that you are older than me, but that doesn't make you better or superior to me! It doesn't matter if I seen every single one of his games from a Bull to a Wizard. I have never seen Paul Rodriguez skate before but I am a fan of his signature Nike's. Am I not allowed to buy and wear those as well! I am not at Footlocker every month for the next retro release, I never camped out a day in my life, I have never been in a waiting line at 6:00 in the morning! Because I don't need or want to, if I miss a release I miss it & move on! I have been wearing Air Jordan ever since I was a baby! People now a days have so much unnecessary and unwanted hate! You are just a bitter man who enjoys calling "us children" wannabe & hypebeast! I will continue to buy sneakers that appeal to me and only me! I can care less what the crowd is doing.
@Kev Loco @YoureMadLate lmao....i hate when these young children try to get on here and say their not the reason the shoegame is F-d up....please its because ALL you little 15-20yr old WANNABE sneakerheads because before you losers tried to come in every release was bueatyful no lines...no problems....and quality was better...because ever since you children came in quality dropped...why? because JB knows regardless you kids are going to eat em up and they will sell out no matter what...so why use better quality and spend more money making the shoe when you losers will cop anything with a jumpman on it.....instead use shity quality so it takes less to make the shoe...and profits will double cause you all will buy whatever...SMH i blame you 15-20yr old wannabe sneakerheads for this....i'm TRIED of seeing you little children in line all hyped up LIKE IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOUR BUYING...and some of you with your parents lmao! wtf is that? its so disgusting...this is a generation of followers all you kids do is follow whatever is hyped up....i can not wait! til this TREND IS DEAD!!!! this is solely a fad...you children buy jordans FOR NO REASON! you have no idea who the hell he is and never TRUELY see the man play so why do you buy it then??? YEAH EXTACLLY....CASE CLOSED...SIT DOWN...and don't give me the BS of "I've seen a few of his games" and all that...you don't know your just a wannabe trying to look right...
@Kev Loco @YoureMadLate I'm glad there's ppl on here who think rather than shout nonsense negative comments, well said
@YoureMadLate Just because some people were too young for a certain release doesn't make them a hypebeast if they want that sneaker when it re-releases, There are older guys who hype up & resell just as much as anyone else! I was 7 when these came out in 2001, was that too young? I can remember the days when my mom would take me & my brother almost every other Saturday for new kicks & that time period was great!
But just us kids aren't going through Consumerism, you are too! Your buying the same sneakers as the rest of us. And just because a certain age group goes out and buy doesn't hike prices up! It has to do with Nike and their production. Prices on the products to make the shoes has went up over the years and that means so shall the shoe it self. I don't really like comments like yours who blame the younger generations on why the sneaker business is all messed up!
@YoureMadLate You have a valid point, I personally don't like the 1s, I was speaking on behalf on all the others, simply saying the reason why the couldnt get a pair, maybe they weren't feeling them the last time they came, ppl change!! True there is hype that's a part of it, but some ppl have taste as to what looks good, it sucks but this is what's happening & it won't change for awhile
