There are several exciting new Air Jordan IX ‘alias’ colorways on tap for the fourth quarter, but don’t forget about the original that made its debut nearly twenty years ago this fall. The Air Jordan 9 Retro ‘Olive’ takes us back to the time when only Michael Jordan’s fictional personae stayed on the hardwood while His Airness was whiffing with the ChiSox organization. This distinctly casually leaning design reflected the popularity of ‘grungy’ and otherwise rugged styles like the classic Timberland 6″ and proved that grey wasn’t the only neutral shade that can add some balance to the Chicago Bulls’ highly aggressive palette. It will be interesting to note, then, how these fare during a season when we’ll also get the ‘Cool Grey’ Nines once again; which neutral style is your favorite? The top is a very shiny black leather, probably because the area was flat, and there wasn't alot of leather that needed to be painted black...if not painted so thoroughly, the shoes would have looked cheap after just a few wearings. Sold my "new" from my collection AJ IX's (white/french blue/flint grey)'s for $365, but probably paid more for those (not over $175, I know)....and now we can sit back and wait for someone to say that the only great Air Jordans were the I's, the IV's and the XI's, which I highly disagree upon. my favorite's are the XX's...
Those shoes were sooooo unpopular when first released, stores and ebay sellers were trying to dump them for $39 a pair, I picked up 3 pairs. I thought they were interesting and a break from the normal colors of B-ball shoes, and would be great as casual, I still have 1 pair I had worn, 1 pair still new, and sold a pair on EBay for $200, not bad for $39 cost....but had to hold them for about 15 years...

Is it me or does the leather uppers looks like its made out of plastic..smdh.oh and these would go so hard wit some camo pants but the suede/nubuck looks so cheap i wont think twice about gettin these.the cool greys look decent these look pretty bad.thanks agian jb

The upper looks anodized. Its probably the lighting though but these will get copped.

These look amazing gotta get these. To the complainers nothing is wrong with the olive its always been that color kinda brownish. Buy or move on
@elementasrat good question, if I find mine, I'll check, maybe they were mirrored....I checked the bottom of my AJ VII Raptor retros and they were mirrored...ball towards the inside of shoe....
That leather looks like its been wiped with armor all. If I get these I would abuse them till the shine disappeared. And whats up? Is that olive? Looks like something you'd wear in Iraq. OLIVE DRAB SMH
these r brown until i see better pics or in person. not that classic (to me) olive or "light olive", but BROWN. fuck!

The OLIVES & the COOL GREYS are the hardest 9s ever. I been waiting on these to come back since 2002 when I was in 7th grade. Now I'll be able to grab both in the same year.
