Steve Caballero x The Berrics “Footnotes”

Footnotes With Steve Caballero 1

“It’s very flattering. I’m honored and grateful that I have a signature shoe.”

Steve Caballero notes that the ongoing success of his Vans signature line is downright ‘rad’, especially when considering that the original Air Jordan upon which the Caballero hightop was based has been revised twenty-plus times since Cab’s Off the Wall debut. Caballero’s sigs were touched once in 1992 and the Half Cab was formally born out of their namesake rider’s experimentation with scissors and duct tape, but there’s so much more to the story than just a trip to JoAnn Crafts. Steve discusses everything from the series’ origins to the 20th anniversary collection and upcoming collabos, so let us know where he ranks in your personal list of greatest skaters/skate sneakers and check out Footnotes in full over at The Berrics.
