Air Jordan 1 High “Knicks”

One of the standouts of the Jordan Brand Spring 2013 showcase earlier today was this Air Jordan 1 Retro High in a Knicks-specific colorway of Blue and Orange. However, it’s not the choice of color that stands out, but the fact that Jordan Brand went against its trend of Nike branding and went with the ‘Nike Air’ on the tongue label in addition to the blank heel (the newer AJ1 Retros have a Jumpman on the heel). Perhaps there’s a throwback inspiration to this release, like when Michael broke out the Air Jordan 1 Retro during his final game at MSG as a Chicago Bull, or just a tribute to Carmelo’s NY affiliation? Such a cock-tease mind game nike plays. "Oh you want nike air??? Well here's nike air on a wackass colorway. Oh you want the chicago 1s?. Well here they are with a jumpman." Watch. Every questionable CW will get the nike air to ensure that it will sell. Every legit OG CW comes with a jumpman since they know the shoes will sell with or without the nike air label. This cw ain't that bad, but its such a tease to put the nike air on it, and then leave it off the shoes the people really want.
so this new colorway has the nike tag but the OG doesn't ?! that's just stupid... com'on Nike do it right!
Complaining complaining complaining complaining. Let me get the Knicks colorway. It's good to have a fresh set of colors beside the plan and always red black n white. But if I come across them I'll gett them
@ToonGriffeyJr The point of all the complaining is because a colorway Micheal Jordan actually played in doesn't get a Nike Air tag on the front. The 1s come in a crap load of colors every year but none of them have Nike Air on them. And to put Nike Air on these instead of the White/Red "Chicago" 1, is a total spit in the face to people who actually love the sneaker!
@Kev Loco Look guy I feel you. But they not gone do it. Im 20 yrs old so u KNW I didn't get the OG. But I take wat I can get. I gotta love for the shoe I would love to have a Nike air on the Chicago's. But as we all KNW WEN THEY RETRO THINGS CHANGE. We jus gotta deal with it my guy

I just hope all the upcoming 1s are actually HIGH like the originals.

@Kev Loco for real man. those chicago 1s are top 3 in my favorite all time shoes and that jumpman on the back especially is pissin me off. hopefully they take it off cuz i can't afford to get an '94 or OG pair.
@mrELsenor Yeah I know how you feel because I have been waiting for these to come out as well and it pisses me off that this "Knicks" colorway gets the privilege of the Nike Air AND not having a jumpman on the back! I And its hard to find an 94 pair that is in good condition and the ones that are in good condition are extremely expensive!
typical Jordan brand to put "NIKE AIR" on this new colorway and not on the OG retro 1s. SMH they just don't wanna use the best stuff on the most hyped sneakers.

i feel they did this to show you put the nike air on it they will sell, this is not an OG colorway if my memory serves me correct. Put a jumpman on these so they can sit in outlets

nike air does look better than the jumpman on the tongue. i dont get why these have it and the white red black ones dont
