Nike Air Force 1 Mid “NYC Jewel” – Arriving @ Retailers
October 12th, 2012 by John K. | 4 comments

The ‘Uptown’ effect is ready for a renaissance thanks to the arrival of these gems – or should we say “jewels”? Nike Sportswear is bringing back a regional hit in the Air Force 1 Mid ‘NYC’ in two colorways – the original Navy/Red and a new Grey/Volt variety. To be frank, the Mid version of the Air Force 1 was never as popular as the Low or the High, but not in NYC where the model became a cultural icon and eventually absorbed the nickname ‘Uptown’. These are arriving at retailers like Packer Shoes, so keep your eye out for these as they’ll begin to show up on shelves soon.

Real flashback with these kicks, Had these waaay back in the day balling on the blacktop and concrete. These really do celebrate the streets and the hood tournaments. These kicks came out when the crossover dribble was regional ya dig back when my man Shamgod Wells was king of streetball . . . . . Who knows about the NYC in and out crossover or the DC crossover the most vicious of all... nostalgic for real
