Li-Ning Way of Wade – Beijing Edition

One of the dominant stories of the week was the announcement and details of Dwyane Wade’s partnership with Li-Ning, but aside from all the bells and whistles, it’s the sneakers that matter to us. From there, we can make the proper judgement of whether or not the Wade-Ning deal is one to take seriously, or one that’ll fall on the wayside in favor of other established brands. This first detailed look at the Li-Ning Way of Wade reveals some impressive details and design cues that we haven’t really come to expect from Li-Ning based on previous designs for Baron Davis and Evan Turner; the padded and ribbed tongue, the skewed grid pattern on the toe-box, the funky ‘W’ structure of the laces – the Way of Wade is certainly headed in the right direction. A detailed viewing of the Black/Gold “Beijing Edition” colorway is right ahead, so give it a serious examination and let us know what your opinions are of the shoe.

It's ok to "Dare" to be different but this shoe is UGLY! D-Wade is a GREAT basketball player & possibly a future Hall Of Famer period.... But his shoes just NEVER hit like his euro step dunks!
I don't know anyone who buys Li-Ning just to wear. If it is not a special purpose. These still look generic to me

This is the nicest cw that they have shown to this point, imo. The lacing pattern always throws me off on these shoes. But if the quality is good and the price is too, I will give them a go.
