When we first saw the 3M Jordan Spiz’ike this morning the colorway seemed like a totally out of the blue one, having no apparent connection with any other Jordan Brand releases. Upon closer inspection it actually appears that the Jordan Spiz’ike pictured is a companion colorway to an upcoming Jordan Melo M9, specifically this pair. Click through with us with that comparison in mind and let us know if that brings a new level of appreciation to this upcoming Jordan Spiz’ike release. As always, stick with Sneaker News for release date and full style info.

Here's the reasoning behind the colorway (I'm 90% sure): "3M" material is a reflective material invented by 3M brand called "Scotchlite", 3M brand has a lot of products under their "Scotch" sub brand, including Scotchlite, which takes the coloring for its packaging from Scottish plaids. One of the more popular plaids they utilize is yellow, black and red. The colors we're seeing with these yellow black red and reflective shoes are reminiscent of 3M Scotch Brand products.
