When Grant Olsen (11) was six years old, his mom and dad found a lump in his neck that turned out to be acute lymphoblastic leukemia. These days Grant is feeling much better and is back to playing sports and practicing his electric guitar. Grant’s design includes his personal logo on the tongue that features a lizard (one of his favorite animals), an electric guitar, his initials and the words “Do not fear or be dismayed.” Grant has earned straight A’s in school for as long as he can remember, and his favorite vacation spot is Hawaii. So his Nike design advisor asked a friend, who happened to be vacationing in Hawaii, to take a photo of an A+ written in the sand on a beach, which appears on the sock liner. Grant’s love of outer space is also highlighted on his shoe with the glow-in-the-dark space speckles. Grant’s inspiration for the colors of his shoe come from a photo of an exotic bird he saw in a design book.

This is something that deserves applause from all in the sneaker community alot of you come off as spoiled brats with no rules or regulations. Rule #1 you dont critique kid designed shoes, whats your deal unpopular or something?
Those IX's are sick. The clear outsole looks good on that model. The AF1's are pretty ill too.
My bday is 9/13 also lol. It would make a lot more sense for the entire DB collection to be a GR if the money is going to charity. That's just Nike's way of thinking I guess
I think the girl how did the free run 2 should have done the IXs! Her design was nice
I respect the children's imagination for creating their own shoes, but I just hope Nike/Jordan Brand increases their f*****' shoe supply! So I can try copping 'em, cuz then I'll see 'em on eBay SMFH! And unfortunately, Nike/Jordan Brand will never make it happen.
This is an amazing project but its sad to see re sellers sell the shoe for more than what's it's worth .... GR is needed NIKE!!
@JamesJohnMichaelDunphyJr <=== Most well informed person in the sneakerworld. I was always under the impression that all SB's were exclusive to skateshops. According to homeboy here, Nike has all of a sudden decided to change their policy. Clap. Clap. Clap.
That...is some damn good investigateringeded. I'm glad NSW decided to inform nobody and secretly add "SB" to this Doernbecher release, cause I ain't buying no dunks unless it says "SB" under the swoosh!
@superbillybob8 I worked on them with Finn, so that's how I know. Hope you buy a few pairs.
@AmauryTybgGarcia I hope so! I won't buy Dunks unless it has that little "SB" tag under the swoosh! I know you feel me on this daaaaaaaaaawg! #HYPEBEASTKREW4LYFE
