adidas Y-3 LA Trainer

adidas Y-3 LA Trainer

It wasn’t with perfect regularity (1968 and the boycotted ’80 Moscow games come to mind, along with the fact tha the Seoul is a wristwatch and not a sneaker), but adidas had a pretty good tradition going from the ’60s until 1984, releasing a different trainer to go along with each Olympiad.  The last of those celebrated the ’84 Los Angeles Olympics with removable cushioning plugs, and now the LA Trainer (NOT the Tokyo Trainer) gets a high-fashion remix courtesy of Japanese visionary Yohji Yamamoto.  The Y-3 LA Trainer is treated to an ornate floral pattern underlay that really pops next to clean black and white elements and will be available shortly.  Have a closer look after the jump, let us know how these beautiful lowtops compare to Y-3’s more high-contrast fare and stick with Sneaker News for all the latest.
