Classics Revisited: Air Jordan XI Low “Citrus” (2001)

Citrus Jordan 11 Low 2001 Release

AIR JORDAN WOMENS WEEK

Time to show the lady Jordan-fiends some love. Jordan Brand began producing womens-only releases of Air Jordan Retros back in 2001, starting with a series of Air Jordan XI Lows in some unexpected and impressive colorways. One standout was the ‘Citrus’ of April 2001; it was the first Air Jordan XI to feature a sole color that wasn’t red, translucent, or solid-black, and stands as the lone all-white low-top XI ever (up until the White/Varsity Red release earlier this year). The translucent ‘Citrus’ was matched with the similarly colored stripe on the tongue as well as the Jumpman and ’23’ branding on the heel. This understated and Summer-friendly colorway was released at select retailers and is a true collectors item given its rarity (particularly the larger-sized productions). Kick off Classics Revisited: Air Jordan Womens week with a true banger and stay tuned for more sick productions!
