Sneakers have always been about games, but before today, they’d only risen as high as being a feature in those sports’ video games. But adidas breaks a new barrier today with their Eternal Fame Memo Game, the number one reason to get a gigantic stocking for your mantle this season. These 72-card box sets give you a flashcard matchup pairing silo with sole, though Super Mario Bros. 3 veterans are going to be pretty upset when they can’t then grab the matched pairs with the B-button. Three Stripes makes these photos and their boxes almost as compelling as the classic shoes themselves with three collector’s editions covered by George Foreman boxing boots, a cleat from (West) Germany’s epic 1954 World Cup victory and an all-white Superstar signed by all three members of Run-DMC. Producer Himmelspach Publishing has limited these to 2500 pieces each, and they’re available now direct from the source as well as select adidas Originals retailers.
