The clock continues to tick on Kobe Bryant’s latest signature sneaker, with a Christmas release pretty much confirming that the sneakers will arrive in some form or another before the year’s end. Another pair that we can expect in the mix somewhere is this, the Nike Zoom Kobe VIII in blue and purple. The colorway could mean a few different things in terms of inspiration-perhaps reviving the ‘Draft Day’ theme that alludes to the initial selection of Kobe by the Hornets or perhaps serving as a tribute to the Minneapolis Lakers of old. Click through for a full look and tell us what you think of this new Kobe VIII colorway in the comments.

not bad at all. i am thinking the purple camo is the elite with the way the upper material looks like! i think i like that more to be honest!
@Jonathan Broder either that or the lifestyle version they mentioned awhile back
@npt that statement could not be any more incorrect. The main focus of footwear design is technology. Remember, form must follow function, so the way it looks always comes second to how it performs. And it has lighter weight materials and lighter support structure, which is another step in the direction the Kobe line is always moving in. This shoe is actually a testament to designing with tech in mind, not just how cute it looks when you're rocking it with your favorite blue jeans.
@Da_Real_Big_Infinite classic typing stutter....
@CheckMyDope i am referring to the purple camo with the yellow swoosh. i am trying to find the pic which i think was modern not but the upper looks like a mamba upper and a firmer EM similar to the cp3 shoe this year! i will get pic. are you on solecollector or niketalk? pic is on both threads!
