Nike Zoom Flight ’98 “The Glove” – Returning March 2013
December 24th, 2012 by John K. | 25 comments

Much discussion regarding the new Air Jordan XX8 and its funky zipper construction has been one of the hot debates for kicks this month, but let’s not forget that the glove-like fit for bball kicks was a concept done years ago! Gary Payton’s Nike Zoom Flight ’98 ‘The Glove’ is the shoe we’re talking about and after some rumors regarding a re-release came about roughly a year ago, we got some confirmation from the loud-mouth himself; ‘The Glove’ is making a comeback this March 2013, so let us know what your thoughts are on this Retro release and stay tuned to Sneaker News for more updates.

One of those times when it looks like Nike and JB aren't on the same page. This will be the XX8's main competition (if you can call it that).
@DugLast the xx8s main competition is that $250 price tag
@inTheNameofQuen LOL! No doubt.
@DugLast lol I'd like a pair of both tho
I was considering the XX8s. But now forget it! I want to get these instead. Had the black/white Zoom Flight 98s back in 6th grade. I really liked them them, and hopefully can get them again.
Glad to see this love the shoe and would actually cop... But the 28 looks better period!
Also, "The Glove" was 119.99 back in 98, the cheaper version Son of Glove retailed for 79.99 in 99.
Yes, was just thinking about these last month.
Finally!!! This was my first official hoopin shoe
Love this shoe used to ball in these
Finally something to wake up for, and not just the same retro Jordans.
OMG ! Thank god the world didnt end
THE GLOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
FINALLY!!!! Been waiting on these since high school
im glad theyre returning i wonder wat the price will be back in the day they were only 75 dollars anything over 100 and ill surely pass
@inTheNameofQuen I think you talking about the take down model.. the Son of Gloves. Those we're 74.99.. but not the signature GP model.
The take down only had nike air. Not zoom air and the signature "monkey paw" like these had.
@inTheNameofQuen I believe those were $114.99 back in the day. Zoom air was new back then.
@UncleDiggaty I remember there was a pair around 120 and a pair for 75 in eastbay
@UncleDiggaty lol I had em confused but either way I'm glad they making a return
@inTheNameofQuen indeed. I remember those too. They had a leather-like glove on the shoe instead of the neoprene glove on the zooms. That's all you had to say. Lol. You're right.
@UncleDiggaty not on sale just another shoe it didnt have zoom air but I remember they brought out a few other zoom air shoes around this time
@inTheNameofQuen maybe on sale @ $75. Not a single pair of Nikes with Zoom Air cost anything less than $100 back then. Either way, shoe is dope.
@inTheNameofQuen These were over 100 back in 98 bro
with the anticipation of this shoe, I couldn't see these retailing for under $100. Probably in the $115-135 range like the Penny line (except for the Foams and Vs)
BOUT DAMN TIME
