The Hyperdunk has been Nike Basketball’s non-signature flagship for the past five seasons, and coming up next year is the sixth edition of the first Flywire hoop shoe.  The Nike Hyperdunk 2013 stays true to its roots with a quintet of cable sets providing superior fit within a synthetic shell that appears more ventilated than years past.  Stick with Sneaker News to see if this has any implications for its cousin the Hyperfuse and check out some more images of the Hyperdunk 2013 after the jump; the way the heel counter has been incorporated into the rear midsole is particularly interesting.

The Back Of The Midsole Section, With The Higher Layer Of Foam Would Really Help Absorb A Lot Of Impact During Transition, If This Shoe Goes With A Full On Surface Of Lunarlon Foam Instead Of Putting It In Targeted Sections Like The 2012 Hyperdunks, The Shoe Could Perform Better, Be Whole Lot More Comfortable, And Easier On Your Joints. I Like It. I Would Like To See What The Bottom Of The Shoe Looks Like, I Would Really Like If This Shoe Uses A Full Surface Of Solid Rubber (Like The 2012 Hyperdunks) Or Maybe A More Pliable Herringbone Or Storytelling Traction Base That Makes The Shoe Grip Better, Especially On Indoor Surfaces. (Debris Ridden Surfaces Especially) I Wish That The Flyware Was Still On The Outside Of The Shoe, I Don't Really Like The Way It Looks On The Inside Of The Materiel. I Hope The Shoe Doesn't Have To Be So Snug On Your Foot, And Be A Little More "True-To-Size"I Really Look Forward To Seeing How This Shoe Will Perform, And I Will Be One Of The First People Buying The Shoe On Release Day. I Love The Look, And I Really Want To See What The Foam, And Cushioning Will Be Like, As Well As The Traction, And The Support. I Hope It's As Light As The 2011 Hyperdunk, Which Was One Of My Favorite Basketball Shoes Of All Time.

I loved the 2012 hyperdunks. I have the gold medals and they are sick. I actually like these. They will grow on me like the 2012 did. So far I think the 2012 have been the best hyperdunks then the originals. Those 2 are the only hyperdunks I've liked.

That engineered mesh material makes the shoe look like a cheapy piece of shit....and im not a big fan of the zig zag design by the eyelets....maybe a clean photoshop enhanced picture of these from nike will help me change my mind.

i like these better than the 2012s. I hope these have zoom air in them. much more responsive than lunarlo; Once the lunarlon breaks down,it's over.

Most definitely a step back, not ugly, but a step back nonetheless.

I hope they're kidding about having the flywire cover the swoosh O_o lol

i like the design. the rippled back and top of the tongue look kindof interesting.  i'll probably cop a low top pair when they come out, to work out in. there'll be at least two or three colorways that are dope.
