Jordan Melo M9 – Officially Unveiled

January 4th, 2013 by / 11

0.00 / 5 (NO VOTES YET)

So it’s been nearly two years since Carmelo Anthony changed scenery from Denver to New York, but it wasn’t until this season that the spirit of winning seemed to have consumed his whole being. After an outstanding performance at the 2012 Olympic Games, Carmelo Anthony – regarded as a true superstar in the league one of the best Small Forwards of all-time – had a bit of a chip on his shoulder. Several All-Star Game appearances and All-NBA Teams were already under his belt, but Melo’s been playing like he still needs to prove something – a big reason why he’s a leading candidate for League MVP. With that said. the Jordan Melo M9 – his ninth signature shoe – could not have arrived at a better time.

The Jordan Melo M9 – the lightest Melo ever created – is inspired by a mix of Carmelo’s “likes”; his older side has a thing for high-end watches, but the kid inside him gets excited about armored superheroes (like Marvel’s Ironman). Justin Taylor, the lead footwear designer for Jordan Brand, noted these details when creating the M9, with the Dynamic Fit technology locking down Melo’s foot like Tony Stark’s suit armors his entire body. Speaking on the cushioning aspect, the Melo M9 features max-volume Zoom at the forefoot and the heel, with a herringbone traction providing heightened court feel.

I love how the sides have an M for melo that is cool I think any one think they did that on purpose n these r. Not that bad looking prolly copp at the outlets n wait for that price drop on these

this shoe is hideous and if these are the best ones to date thats not saying a lot about the prior ones every athlete on jb with a signature shoe needs a new designer all these will sit on the shelves

These are honestly the best Melos to date.  I've purchased each one and these by far have the most "wow" factor when it came to trying them on for the first time.  Casual wise... Obviously they aren't the best, but this is a performance hoop shoe.  The best shoe to actually feel "flywire".  And can't for get that ZOOM AIR! Amazing comfort.

I like the black/white-game royal. This shoe looks a little sharper to me when the Flywire strap and the upper are the same color.

Hell, these look nicer that the XX8s.

i like these! it's funny how they do a better signature shoe for Melo than they did for D.Wade. none the less these are really nice.

@inTheNameofQuen it's not all about the looks. You gotta have an open mind. I admit these were pretty disgusting when I first seen them, but when you consider all the performance packed into this shoe, I don't mind sacrificing looks. After all, this is a basketball shoe, not a casual shoe.

@dopeman978 Sometimes it takes a few designs to get it right. JB has had a longer relationship with Melo. That might be part of it.

@209RneLLy18c I understand all that bit at the end of the day they're trying to sell a shoe every jordan was once a performance shoe but yhey still looked good feet jbs designers cant be all performance based bcuz the nike signature shoes actually look decent on side of the performance factor
