Sneaker News 2012 Readers’ Choice Awards

The polls are now closed and the votes now tabulated – so here are the results of the Sneaker News 2012 Reader’s Choice Polls. Over 130,000 votes contributed in determining the winners for the 21 diverse categories we laid out below, and while some of the results were expected, we were hit with a few “upsets”. You may not agree with the results, and some of the final tallies don’t even match up to what the Sneaker News staff had indirectly selected based on our Top 30 of 2012 or our Top 23 Air Jordans of 2012, but the majority has spoken! We’d like to say thanks to all of our faithful readers who participated, so check and see if your selections were winners and let us know what you think was the biggest surprise result!

The yezzys are hot but not number 1 hot. Id have to say I'm sic of retro shoes. You guys killed the Jordan brand a thousand times over. Will never buy another Jordan shoe again. The bred xi has been retro like 100 times hold on (not literally in case somebody tries to correct me). I like going out and being the only one with a particular shoe on, its silly to me you have a click u run with and theres let's say 5 of you and 3 of you got the same shoe on. I like all the collaborations this past year. Bred xi are not better than the yezzy though, sorry. But I liked the rest once you get past all the Jordan's though. Best Kobe should have been WTK. P.S Sneakers are meant to be worn and not licked. You know who you are. Wear your shoes dummy that's what you bought them for, not to take beauty shots and post on , then put them back in the box.

those yeezy to me is not the hottest sneaker of 2012! most hyped, the shoe is ugly! to me it's the bred 11s. those look 3x better than the yeezy

The best shoe was one most of us don't have lol. I voted for the Wc4s but that's why there's a vote. Most corresponded to my vote aside from the yeezys and 11s but the kdivs deserved the nod, not the X's. and lastly those grapes!
