One word that can sum up the Nike Sportswear 2013 All-Star Pack: Surprising. The decision to go full force with Barkley models might not have been expected, but it’s the comeback of a rather overlooked model from the 80’s hoops catalog in the Nike Vandal that is equally shocking. Originating in 1985, the Nike Vandal was like a revision of the Air Force 1, arriving in leather and mesh forms and popping up on our news-feed in what were admittedly some boring colorways. This time around, it takes on an entirely more exotic shape, with a funky textured upper (like the Zoom Kobe VI), a translucent heel-tab, and a glowing outsole. The Vandal definitely deserves another comeback of this stature, but is this All-Star 2013 release the shoe to do it? Let us know in the comments below and be sure to circle your calendar for February 14th as these Vandals as well as the entire Area 72 Pack are set for a release on that date.
