Rajon Rondo’s Best Sneakers of the 2012-2013 Season

January 28th, 2013 by / 7

0.00 / 5 (NO VOTES YET)

Rajon Rondo’s best individual season to date was cut short yesterday when news of a torn ACL (an injury that takes up to a year to fully recover from) placed a dark cloud over the Boston franchise. The immediate future of Boston’s Playoff hopes has gotten considerably bleaker as the Eastern Conference All-Star guard is now forced to watch his struggling team from the sidelines, but Rondo’s work ethic should have him back on the court at 100% sooner than expected. Rondo, who is certainly out of that signature-sneaker range and more in the PE category, made more headlines than any other NBA player thanks to his surprising rotation of footwear, which we feel deserves a thorough viewing in light of the recent events.

For sneaker fans, Rondo was an immediate surprise when he opened the season with the Polarized Pink Foamposite Ones, and since then, he’s established himself as the frontrunner for NBA Feet champion this season thanks to a healthy rotation of Foamposites, Hyperposite PEs, and plenty more – a certain out-of-nowhere story in a league dominated by bonafide sneaker fanatics like DeMar DeRozan, Monta Ellis, Nate Robinson, Nick Young, and more. We hope Rondo has a speedy recovery, so until he makes it back to the hardwood, check out this season recap of Rondo’s best hits and let us know if he should be considered for our end-of-the-season NBA Feet awards despite being active for half a season.

Literally Shook my head in shocking disbelief when Doris Burke deliver that ACL news on Sunday , been a joy watching #9 going from a unproven and doubted question mark to ALL NBA/ALL STAR performer and all time Celtic great , hope he takes his time , rehabs right and comes back stronger than ever green all day .....back to the topic He was def killin Kicks on Court this year and that Alt. Road jersey, Blk stitching, Black Sock ,Stealth Foam look .....MEAN

lovin all da foams & hyperposites he rotates... even tho he in Boston, still got respect fa dude... speady recovery

Rajon Rondo is one of my favorite players in the league - so talented and its a shame he'll be sidelined..having said that, his choice in sneakers annoys the *#%& outta me. Everyone can agree that he's got heat for days, but the heat turns ugly, awkward, & out of place when he wears em w his Celtic green over and over. He mismatches so many colors - pinks n yellow foams and bred Js with his all white or all green uni. Look I'm not the fashion police but am I the only one that thinks an all white n green home uni with stealth foams kills the look? He's only wearin the heat cuz he knows SN is watching. Not hatin jus sayin

Cant Lie Rondo did his thing this year

Look he's wearing nikes. it MUST HAVE BEEN THE SHOES that made him tear his knee...<---(joke)......maybe now the trolls that made "adidas hater comments" saying the reason rose tore his acl was because of the rose 2.5's will STFU and understand a shoe doesn't cause you to tear ligaments........... no that will never happen, theres way too many "sheep" out there amongst us.

The Christmas Hyperposites and the Fighter Jets are the dopest.
