If you happened to watch ESPN during one of many SportsCenter episodes aired over the football-less weekend, then you know that the Worldwide Leader is celebrating basketball’s Greatest of All Time all week as we approach Michael Jordan‘s 50th birthday. Sunday night saw the premiere of a new segment called ‘SportsCenter Featured’, wherein we got a taste of what figures to be a more extensive look into the impact of MJ and his Air Jordans. You can see the whole video below, wherein Jordan Brand Sports Marketing VP Howard White offers an insightful perspective Jumpman’s influence that brings to the surface one of the hidden secrets of what makes being a sneakerhead so great. Check out the full video, which includes some interesting Air Jordan III sketches, and stick with Sneaker News for the latest.

This makes me really wanna see 3's with the Swoosh on the side.
@23kicksfor23chicks air revolutions they are pretty much high top 3's with a swoosh
glad they left the swoosh off, but the wings logo on the back is cool
with the swoosh on the side it'd be the air revolution or air assults youngbucks ;)
even after this video ill never understand why the aj 15 was ever considered to be a good idea..
@legitjordanlane Hahahaha but I will take the 15 over any of that new garbage JB drops now days...
I like the "nike" on the side
way way much better with a swoosh..but that's just me...
Kinda hard to believe MJ will b 50 on Sunday. Fa me, it seems like I was jus watchin him in his 1st NBA finals against Magic
@Da_Real_Big_Infinite you mean lakers? or are you talking about conference finals?
@TheOddestFuture I mean against magic JOHNSON.... cmon people
@Da_Real_Big_Infinite okay that makes alot more sense aha
This is a nice post!
Love this. You can tell Nike was still struggling with idea of a shoe with limited Nike branding. In the end, the heel tab was enough.
So, where are the XX2s in black/ neon green???
@gotjordans what the hell are you talking about
yeah they were! I almost felt like I was hanging in the air when I wore Jordans! :)
