Is this Air Jordan V the most anticipated retro of 2013? The recent Air Jordan III ’88 release may have crept up and claimed that crown, but that sneaker aside we’d say that this OG colorway has garnered the most buzz. The pair is set to come back this May, and will of course be doing so a range of sizes appropriate for the whole family. Evidence of that comes via this latest preview, wherein the GS version of the sneaker is on display. Stay with us till after the jump for all the photos and tell us if you think that the Air Jordan V ‘Grape’ is indeed the most anticipated of retros for 2013.

Im sick of seeing these smh. Very dope shoe but posting them all the time is getting annoying they should just drop already.
One of the best sneakers ever, of all time, IF you can keep them white and not yellowing out -- an impossible task (*Nike laughs*)
exactly. Last came out in '07 I believe. Regardless I had them, unworn. Shits started yellowing out after a few months. Crazy JB keeps putting out shitty products with outdated tech and they still fly off shelves. I learned my lesson. JB gets no more of my dollars now.
@JFresh_136 do u really believe nike can stop yellowing especially if you wearing them. Even if u tape ur kicks there still going to yellow. Sumtimes faster than others and sometimes slower than others. It would be a great thing to see but i won't count on it, and thats lots of ppl i came across who loves the yellowing which is gross but i accept it bcuz thats how they like it, a vintage look. How about we as ppl find that solution and do it ourselves to stop it instead of waiting for nike. Remember a clear sole gets scuffed when contacting the ground, so that means u really working to stop scuffing & yellowing bcuz scuffing causes yellowing as well ya dig.
@NuttyKicks have they figured out a way to recycle gas so we can save our own money without keeping running back to a gas station no. Nothing last forever, even car parts go bad. With shoes thats something small compared to the major things but we as consumers spend our money on this. Me i understand nike cant and will not prolly ever find a solution to this problem with yellowing. Hell the human body breaks down after awhile, shoes breakdown by wearing them or DS'ing them and nothing will change that no time soon. Were gonna pay higher bcuz we don't live in the 80's no more, everything around u and me has gone up thats economics, business, whatever. All i can say is i wish the best for you in this time of a day in the shoe game.
@NuttyKicks @hozezae Amen to that but they wont fix it unless they release these, then no one buys it ( which will never happen) and then they ask you on Twitter why didn't anyone buy the 5's, well Nike because I like to keep my shoes white, then SN will have an article on the new ice soles and stuff guaranteed not to yellow
I get ya. And appreciate the convo. My point is people paying a higher dollar for a lesser quality shoe with outdated tech just to be in the in-crowd. Retro Js are junk. And do you mean to tell me with all the shoe tech we got now such as flyknit, hyperfuse, lunar soles, engineered mesh, etc..., Nike couldn't find a way to prevent yellowing soles?! They just don't care cuz they know retro Js will sell out. Period. Smart business for an ignorant (meaning unaware) target audience
@NuttyKicks they dropped in 06. U cant stop yellowing period plain simple. There shoes regardless what their built out of, it happen 20, 30, 40+ years ago and beyound shoes fade. Yes their outdated shoes but they do use newer materials and such. Thats why ppl complain about the leather bcuz it used to be heavy full grain now its lightweight full grain, split grain or synthetic leather. All sport shoes which to the lightweight thing you rarely see a shoe made like it was 20 years ago unless their retros or exclusives. The problem is ppl bitchin about retros cuz they use modern day specs instead of the old materials. JB/nike/reebok etc make great shoes but ppl overlook those bcuz there so caught up in retros and inspect for those to be top notch compared to today's shoes. Ppl need to unterstand that retros can still be balled in but they will never amount to the shoes of today. Invest in newer model shoes
