Nike KD V “Aunt Pearl” – 2013 Kay Yow Collection
February 19th, 2013 by Aaron Hope | 6 comments

Too many of us have an ‘Aunt Pearl’: a beautiful woman whose untimely exit underlines the importance of breast cancer awareness and research. Nike Basketball’s scoring machine Kevin Durant payed tribute to his late aunt on Valentine’s Day in his latest signature sneaker, and with the 2013 Kay Yow Collection available now, the ‘Aunt Pearl’ Nike KD V can’t be too far off. The Kay Yow Cancer Fund-benefitting Hyperfuse 2012 Low and Zoom Hyperdisruptor feature Pinkfire Light uppers, so these KD 5s really stand out in white with pink stained glass detailing on the Swooshes, tongue and sockliner. Just copped these bunch of Pearls.
Reflective pearl white with ornate 'ghost mark decors' makes it one-of-a-kind.
Sorry guys to those who were asking earlier of the store info. Store manager admonished all buying customers (got my ID on their database - my 12th in-store purchase) prior to checking out to refrain from divulging their info onto any social networking. My gut, they'd rather stay 'concealed' and avoid chaos or any form of harassment from sneakerheads.
Don't understand these Japs policy really shaking my head.
@Sneeky hey bro! So is there no chance on helping me out with that stores location? I have a cousin who is stationed there in Japan and was hoping he could ship me a pair!
love how they added the "aunt pearl" to the lace aglet
KD5 really has come along nicely. This Aunt Pearl version is a lot better than I thought. Love the Nike Swoosh
Cancer sucks. dig the cw and simplicity.
