Kareem Abdul-Jabbar might be better known to younger sneakerheads for his recent ‘Harlem Shake’, but we are talking about the NBA’s all-time leading scorer here, not just the next contestant on Celebrity Big Brother. Anyone who leads Michael Jordan in any statistical category deserves a permanent place in the sneakerhead pantheon, which is what Three Stripes was going for with the adidas Originals AO Hook Shot. Based on Jabbar’s original 1971 signature, the AO Hook Shot OG is arriving at select European stores, so click through to see how they compare to the true original and check your local adi-retailer for availability.

Is this like a "do it yourself" project? They took out Kareem's face but left a huge space like I'm supposed to tape a picture of myself in there. WTF would Adidas take that off the tongue? Smh...
The ogs design is way better. why would adidas make them so bland this time by removing everything about them that made em look like a signature. the changes to the toebox are ok though.
The only reason anyone would buy this shit is if it had Abdul Jabbar's picture and they don't even have that. Adidas knows how to fuck up.
@Jakeypoo This. I didnt know the shoe, but i know who Kareem is. This would be an awesome nostalgia hit retro if it had the same face pic on... those OG's are crazy cool! Why would they releasee them and take off the best feature? Coz now i dont want one... i would have though. A Kareem P.E would have been AWESOME! And Adidas would have been good for a change... guess there is a reason why that is. And why have a box... blank? Looks weird. It his signature shoe, but they retro it without his signature.... rrrriiiiigh.
