After the success of the ‘Area 72′ Pack led by the Nike Barkley Posite Max, NSW’s got something else in store near the end of the March – the first-seen ‘Eggplant’ colorway. We already reported a release date for these bad boys some time ago, but we have some additional information for ya; the officially designated colorway is ‘Black/Black’, although the Eggplant finish is likely a Varsity Purple hue like the Air Foam One that dropped in ’09 and again in ’10, and the official box price is $235 (as seen on the box tag). Nike’s official release calendar does list it as $200, but that is subject to change, and again, with fast-rising prices in the Foamposite category and the fact that this is a new model with some added ingredients like Glow and Max Air, $235 is the more likely MSRP. You’ve got roughly four weeks to wait, but if you want ‘em now, grab ‘em from janbaz0221 on eBay.

Pricey, but fresh. I'd cop, but it seems like the more exclusive the shoe the less chance I have gettin em in VA?
I would much rather have these than the Area 72 Chuckposites.....this colorway is DOPE! I can't wait for the Penny V's to drop this Saturday :)
I would love to sit in a Nike meeting when they come up with the "Suggested Retail Price", and understand how a sneaker that cost less than $30 to make can sell for $200 more... If this money went to the workers who made them in some warehouse then maybe I would consider but that's never going to happen.. Nice sneaker plus Wack price equals Easy Pass.... Then they only produce 35,000 pair for the entire US ( exaggerating but u get the point)! Smh @ NIKE...
This is just greed, Nike. The shoes are ugly, and the price is stupidly high. Four years ago this shoe would've been in the 140-160 dollar range. People need to boycott the shoes if they're gonna be these outrageous prices. Nike isn't bringing innovative technology to the table with these shoes. Same junk, uglier packaging, and just not worth it.
Dat would b love in da streets of they were 200... Do ya consumers right fa once Nike... still expectin to see dat 235 tho
@GetWitIt U sellin less than retail? If not, you're post is retarded and pointless.
@Bigga O and dont forget that out of that 35000, seems like only 5000 hit the stores lol
@jaemesheicck lol. That aint nothin. Especially for this quality of a shoe. Them things too clean for 235 to stop. Just do eiitttttt
@jaemesheicck Lmao at the Sweet Ms. Brown reference... Yeah, Nike.. $235... "Ain't nobody got time for that"!
@chipyouup they'll be $200.
