Raf Simons Panelled Running Sneaker
March 13th, 2013 by Aaron Hope | 9 comments

Belgian fashion designer Raf Simons earned plenty of exposure over the past year-plus thanks to A$AP Rocky’s upmarket lyrical leanings. 2013 sees both of these gentlemen partnered up with adidas, and with the first news since Rocky showed off a range in January, we see the a Simons sneaker that looks at first glance quite similar to that selection. This Raf Simons Panelled Running Sneaker is more of a prelude to his Three Stripes collabo, an abstract multicolor creation that unlike similarly visually engaging Puma collabs utilizes a patchwork construction that really brings the relatively muted though wildly varied palette to life. There’s a lot going on here so you’ll want to have a closer look below, then grab a pair from top-end shops like Trés Bien.

I actually like these
These are nuts, yet they're definitely growing on me. I feel like these are what a crazy innovative designer like Jeremy Scott should be trying for rather than the just plain garish designs he normally does (some of his shoes are interesting as experiments in design, while some are actually nice. Most are just stuffed animals though lol). It's a symphony of crazy textures and panels.
That sole is soooo ugly. It's like some early 00s Adidas runner sole...
They look like some New Balance 990v3's
These shoes are so ugly that I actually like them. Crazy, but true. I would cop if they weren't so expensive.
this shoe looks disguisting
The top portion of the shoe is made to look like fine artwork, and then they just plop it down on a plain old outsole. Not really feeling these...
