Air Jordan V “Black Grape”

The upcoming release of the Air Jordan V “Grape” will certainly be picked clean from the vines, but how about this other seasonal variety? The Air Jordan V “Black Grape” features the same mix of Emerald and Purple, but instead with a black nubuck upper replacing the classic white leather. This yin-yang arrangement of grapes is certainly a treat for Retro fans, but don’t forget that “Black Grape” was already done by a sneaker customizer not long ago! I'm thinking yes...hopefully the final version wont have that dusty suede look , i hope they will be more of a smooth Nubuck(i love nubuck)
These are nice, but I think these would have been even better had they been leather, preferably tumbled leather. It would have really gave it some pop. Still a nice and fresh take on the Grapes though.
i feel like the clear netting is killing it in a way... besides the cheap looking materials
Not bad, looks cheap quality though. But gee i hate blue-tinged soles. Give me icy clear white, and let them yellow i say... if thats the trade off. The adding of the blue mixes in with the grape vibe and takes away from that awesome combo of emerald and club purple. Icy white sole would make the grape stand out.
@caseyflinders ^best insight so far! yeah that blue does interfere with the cool tones of the colorway pretty badly. supposed to match with the netting and lacelocks too and doesn't

Give me some good quality leather instead of nubuck and I would definitely cop them. But other than that the black grape colorway isn't a bad ideal
these is tite!! everyone complains about new colorways. dont like them then dont buy them.Period!! wait...yeah they should just release the same shoe over and over again. thats smart. thats boring.

everybody liked those customs so nike made a less cool version...awesome. should've just completely ripped it off, looked better with colored eyelets (i do like the nubuck though)

Not bad, they look way better without the black mesh, wish they were durabuck or whatever instead of suede!

I hate these and will not be begging for these upon release.
I expect the initial review to be a mix of extreme hate and extreme love, with EVERY SINGLE person who announces their hatred begging for these when they release.
