The first adidas Originals Phantom to release when the model was resurrected last year was the slightly patriotic Pool and Dark Royal edition. Compared to that reintroduction, it’s fascinating how much swapping one scarcely used accent color for another changes the overall feel. Thanks to yellow instead of a little bit of red, these new Phantoms look far less USA-y and more of a springy energetic colorway that’d be just as welcome in 1985 as today. Have a closer look below, then grab yours from Three Stripes stockists like Caliroots.
