Air Jordan V “Winnipeg” Customs by Rocket Boy Nift
March 18th, 2013 by Brendan Dunne | 10 comments

Believe it or not, the Air Jordan V custom on display here is actually inspired by Winnie-the-Pooh. The backstory is a little bit more complicated than that though-the sneaker points to the black bear by the name of Winnie that was used as the initial inspiration for said fictional bear, a creature nicknamed after the Canadian city of Manitoba. The look in place is far from cartoony though, as creator Rocket Boy Nift puts in some serious work between the embroidered black bear patches on back and the detailed markings etched into the leather upper. Check out the Air Jordan V “Winnipeg” customs after the jump and purchase them now from niftnif1990 on eBay.

Great detail! I like the outlining of the teeth.
Into custom shoes a lot even tough this shoe has a great scheme im just not feeling it too much...
Not trying to be negative here.. but I think this pair would have been better off without the embossing. On the positive side, the black shark teeth with the red outline is very clean. I would love to see that applied on a future customization.
I would't wear them, but creative thinking was used on this one, Good effort.
I'm not wit this custom movement, but these are pretty clean. I'd keep the side netting black, but other than that nice.
WTF!!!! U gotta be kidding me. This shit is out of control.SMFH!!!!
The attention to detail is immaculate. GREAT JOB
Creative, very outdoorsy kind of vibe, and very Canadian. The pink is a bit of a head-scratcher; however, I think the embroidery and embossing is fantastic. Never would have thought of that. And all without doing too much, like some people do with their customs.
Love the "Air Bear"!
@DimeBagOfSwoosh its different shades of red not pink
PROBABLY FOR THE SALMON (PINK)
