News of the Air Jordan XI “Bred” restock was a wish come true for many who missed out this past December. Things are about to get literal as these high-profile Air Jordans will in fact return at Wish in Atlanta, GA, but what’s more significant about this update is that this restock might be wider than originally reported. We know Nikestore, Foot Locker, and Footaction will be getting these on Saturday, but perhaps more independently owned boutiques will be getting ’em as well. Will you be jumping on the restock this Saturday? Let us know after the jump and grab one now on eBay.
Air Jordan XI (RESTOCK)
i was looking for a size 6.5 for my girl because this month is her b-day and i found a pair on ebay for 220$ but before i pulled the trigger i checked sneaker news and saw they were restocking so i thought i was good to go but when i checked all the local shoe stores and mall i only found one mall raffling youth sizes i thought i had no chance because there was only 12 pair being raffled but i got today i the call not only that but i had someone raffle for me and they also got a call so now i got 2 winning tickets i love it no resellers prices for me
Def glad this is going down. I got my pair from NDC on release day, but I know a lot of people who missed out. Due to their morals and principals, they refused to pay reseller prices. This is exactly what the sneaker community needs during thse times of endless Hype Marketing months in advance. One things for sure, I can't wait for Labor Day and Cyber Monday 2013.
I am praying that I have a chance to get these this weekend! Anyways I never did the ticket system at FootLocker, i'm hearing different information. Is it a sweepstakes kind of thing or what?
I spent my money on some IV's. I'll just wait for the 40th restock thats bound to happen before the year is over or cop a pair on eBay.
if JB supplied the demand, there would be no need for all the damm hype AND re stocks thereafter- get it together JB.
Re-sellers are shitting their pants. They're still stuck with 10 pairs they bought back in Dec that they've been trying to sell on eBay for $350
All stores that got them in December should be receiving a restock. I know the champs in my mall along with foot locker and eblens are all getting them.
@Kev Loco you missed out bro. You shoulda just went too footaction on monday. And got a raffle ticket.
@HeGotShoeGame I'm willing to bet JB does this on purpose. from a marketing standpoint, send limited supplies to the stores so they sell out instantly, then re-stock limited again-sell out instantly again. suppying the demand now, they would lose more $ in the long run. if some customers are upset they didn't get the latest/hottest release, they will be itching to get the next big release. so if they supplied the demand all the time, it wouldn't be a big deal to have JB products in the future. Al.so, these XIs have have become a mass general release, just relased sporadically at limited quntities, keeping the demand and their own hype high.
@KevinBassJr- i agree ONE HUNDRED my dude. so to make a long story short, JB is responsbile for killing it own shoe game. the way i view it. most releases i cop is 1 pair. thats it. unless its a pair i feel like i gota have two. not very often tho. rock n stock. not tryna give JB all my dough
@HeGotShoeGame @hozezae that is so true, when the spacejams droppee FNL were the shadiess. They had a few hundred pair and had hundreds of ppl in line and b4 they sold us pairs they allowed their friends in shit to come in first for an entire hour then they soldout only 15mins after opening and i was 7th in line. Parents and ppl like me were outraged and guess they all got fired but it just shows that nobody is about the system when ppl jammed the lines at corperate. I thought the breds and were bad last weekends he got game 13's were just as worse, same crowd showed up once they knew certains stores weren't raffling.
@hozezae- yes i agree and fully aware of the shadiness that goes on w store employee's holding out. nothin we can do about that except escalate our concerns to the same managers that are doin the very same thing. so that closes the loop on that front. i think we all agree on one thing, there are many issues on many diff fronts w jay releases these days and this raffle bullshit isnt helping. i copt the breds early because of escalating crowds n hypebeasts
@hozezae. good point that i didn't consider. i guess a possible solution to the store problem would be for JB/Nike allow each worker at each shoe store to pre-purchase only 2 pairs of any big release and then make publicly known on their website exactly how many pairs and what sizes are available at each store across the US.<< (some will still find a way around this but it will decrease and deter those hoarding 10-20+ pairs at a time to resell)
@HeGotShoeGame @KevinBassJr I hear the both of you but still you guys forget sumthings. Yes JB does make sum shoes in low amounts but how is he killing his own shoe game he's a business man so he's for the money. Y'all need to investigate y'all local stores bcuz their responsible for shortages not JB. Black Friday and christmas J's always come in massive numbers, y'all stores cheating ppl. When the bred 11's dropped my local store got nearly 200 pairs and the others got around 100 to 150. I know this bcuz I'm cool with my foot locker guy and he always gives me numbers, so when I called the other stores they told me 40 here and 65 there. Therefore they're holding pairs and selling them to friends and resellers. I witness this happen many times and it is sad to see its come to this.
Lastly, these breds produced about 1 to 3 million pairs I bet. Out of those only 500,000 maybe got shipped, why... you can't shipped all 1 to 3 million pairs of those bcuz of invetory. Stores haveto have room for the new releases from all brands not just one shoe. A backroom can only hold so many pairs of shoes in there invetory so when these sellout nike checks the calendar and see when and what month invetory is so high and new releases aren't dropping back to back. Therefore the the next batch of those 1 to 3 million can release another 500k then repeat the same cycle until they are all soldout. That's how releases work especially big releases, its not JB's fault its business. Blame you local stores for the shortages ppl
