This year’s “Elite Series” from Nike Basketball is finally officially revealed. The group brings in Kevin Durant this time around, skipping out on the Hyperdunk that hit last year in favor of rounding out the models available for Nike Basketball’s Big Three athletes. Each of the new Elite models have a different focus with respect to the players they cater to, as the Nike LeBron X Elite offers unstoppable power, the Nike Kobe 8 Elite is built for deceptive speed, and the Nike KD V Elite aims for ultimate control. See the entirety of the superhero themed Nike Basketball Elite Series 2.0 (Release date April 27th) after the jump and tell us which of the new Elite sneakers are your favorite.
Update: Nike has changed the release date, and the Nike Basketball Elite Series is now releasing April 27th.

i copped a pair of the KD V birch and they are some damn comfortable shoes and give my kobe 8 pythons are run for their money but these V elites look awesome and if there anywere near what i excpect them to be i will be copping
Jesus, these picutres make them all look good lol. I love the kobes though, I know I'll be picking up the brons when a nice color way comes out
Everyone liking the new Kobes, when they barely changed them at all, looks and tech. all thats new is the flywire and the carbon fiber, thats it. There isn't any flyknit on the shoe.
The KDs are clearly the most improved, which is why they're my personal favorite.
I see everybody love da Kd's all of a sudden. When they really jus a low top version of da shoe he wears now... but they are dope. Da plate & heel comfort was a great touch... and those kobes wit da fly knit is too dope
The KD's and Kobe's are great, would love to see them in a different color way though. The Lebron just has too much going on.
Kobe 8 Elite additions
- Carbon fiber heel clip and shank for lightweight stability, quick cuts and jumps
- Dynamic Flywire technology reinforced with Kevlar® aramid to provide more consistent stability and lockdown
- Articulated foam tongue provides impact protection and minimizes lace pressure
- Kevlar® aramid laces resist stretching for a more consistent fit
- Phylon midsole and Nike Zoom technology providing consistent, responsive cushioning
Kobe wins. Those a dope. Fly Knit on a basketball sneaker is new. The exposed Fly Wire is a bit over done, but I like it on this model. This is a must cop once we see the black out pair and hopefully he gets to use them.
All they did was add flywire to kobe's. I think the Kobe's are still the best. The coloways look terrible on all 3 IMO
sooooo essentially KD got a pair of kobes as his elite shoe...lol. and i agree that the lebron colorway is straight trash. hope to see better ones soon.
The elite KD's look better than the hightops IMO. Brons and Kobes are sick too.
The Lebron Elites are horrid...at least in this color...and i like the Lebron Xs....But the KDs and the Kobe's look dope hopefully not to much over what the original shoe cost for those
Na I hate the lebron 10s but out of these three the lebrons are the best. The Kobe's didnt change at all WTH nike?
@HYPEBEAST101 @JDwears3 The LeBrons changed more than the kobes did. On the LeBrons the whole midsole looks different and a few parts on the upper are different but on the Kobes it just looks like they added flywire and changed up the material on the swoosh and on the heel and tounge.;
huge lebron fan but the KD's and Kobe's are far better. They did a horrible job on the LeBron's.
