The Sneaker News March Madness Foamposite Tournament continues by moving coast to coast as we now open up the voting for the East bracket. Leading the way in this region is the “Copper” Foamposite One – a creative and unique spin on Penny that has been, to this day, impervious replication. Don’t forget about two strong Pro colorways in the original Pearl and lesser-known Voltage as well. The voting for the East region is now yours to attack, so be mindful that ALL FIRST ROUND polls will stay open until Sunday, March 24th at 11:59 PM EST.

MATCHUP #1 – The ultimate “Penny” colorway faces off against the underrated “Cough Drop” that restocked after an initial HoH release.

MATCHUP #2 – Arguably the best “Pro” colorway gets awarded with a #2 seed, facing off against the recently dropped “Suns” colorway.

MATCHUP #3 – A true vintage Foamposite classic in the “Voltage” goes against a younger cat in the Bright Crimson of 2012.

smh...its a fantasy foam bracket...this doesn't "really" determine the all time best foams...everyone has diff opinions...have fun with it...its not that serious.

The thing I hate about things like this are that people always hate on others picks. These are my favorite sneakers of all time, and have literally collected every pair since '97. The majority of my collection is from outlets, which will never happen again it seems; but just because you pick an OG pair doesn't make you a "sneakerhead". Like I said, I have almost every pair, and my 3 favorite colorways are all retros. So just because you pick older pairs doesn't make you a "sneakerhead" and just because you would rather pick a retro color doesn't make you a "hypebeast". But i digress...
Coppers would win this region IMO. My Final 4 would be Royals, Paranormans, Galaxy's, and Coppers. I'm very upset the Cactus, Eggplant and Metallic Red couldn't make it further but that's the way they seeded them. My championship game would be Paranormans vs. Galaxy's. Paranormans the winner.

@kapo_ti I'm wit u on collectin these foams bro.. their in my top 5 of best bball shoes ever... 1997 was da start & every since 2009, dudes have slept on foams HEAVY.. Now everybody wants a pair... but da OG royals or coppers should win... and if it came down to Para v Galaxy, I would have to go wit da galaxy joints

I would like to say the seeding is fucking retarded, and you are knocking better kicks out way to early..but anyway
Coppers (Yea they are plain and should not beat the coppers but i honestly wanted to choose Coughdrops I always loved them..I think they should have been number 2 seed)- Pearls- Crimsons (Only because the orange Knick type color, IMO both those shoes sucked and should have been place at different seeds) - Varsity Red (Again, fucked up seeding I liked both shoes they should have both made it to next round)
Nobody gives a fuck about "OG colorway" and all that other bullshit. Just pick the better looking shoe and keep it moving.

fun round. strictly for visual pleasantries, the swoosh on foams do not look good ... just my personal opinion.
went w/ crimsons over voltage. seems borderline blasphemous to pick a 2012 cw over an OG, but the crimsons are the best foam since the coppers i think

coppers, Phoenix suns, crimsons, and HOH fomas. the phoenix suns will be slept on even doe the pearls are one of the greats

I got nothing against the opinion of yours i just think you need to take in account of tradition and history behind the shoe too, you must know nothing about any of the original foamposite colorways and clearly just got interested in shoes within the past few years like the rest of the fags that wear em now, maybe you'd like the pearls if mac miller was wearin em in a music video?

I got the cough drops as the sunrise and the crimsons as the upset.... the pearls should make it but its a 50/50 split....
Bad matchup for the Volt's against the Crimson's I could see an upset

Coppers should b contender to win da entire tourny... BUT if their is an upset, da pearls can do it... love da voltage cuz I had those in high school but da coppers are classic. Hard to find too many cws better then those. OG royals come to mind

@mike0811 yeah i know. I ended up finding a few pair at a nike outlet on the way home from vacation a few years ago. I couldn't believe so many people slept on them.
@mike0811 It hit outlets for $90 and it's a rehashed colorway from 2007. Not even close to being "underrated"
@johnbeejkim @mike0811 u gotta realize a lot of shit back then stayed on shelves & went to outlets... I remember coppin army green, red pros & Carolinas at outlets. Ever since da coppers & eggplants, dudes have been foam crazy

I think the lebron pre-heats, concord XI christmas release , foam galaxies, & big bangs drove the sneaker culture to a place where walking into an outlet & picking up Jordan VI Bulls for $99 or cough drops for $90 are long gone
