It’s for Nike to expand the Kevin Durant name beyond the signature model, and it seems like it’s all coming together during the KD V life-cycle. Not only is the KD V part of the Nike Elite 2.0 Collection, but a brand new model will bear the KD logo – the Nike KD Trey 5. This lower-cut design clearly has more lifestyle/off-the-court appeal, with the polygonal cut-outs on the upper reminding us of the intricate outsole traction pattern on the Nike KD V and the unique heel construction adding something new to the scene. We have a multi-angle look at this White/Mint/Grey colorway after the jump so take a look and stay tuned to Sneaker News for potential U.S. release info as these takedown/spin-off models are typically Asia-exclusives.

I like this but it almost looks like more of a tennis shoe. I would definitely like to see some more CWs though.
@MartinD44 nice cw, ugly weird shape. Whats with all the patterns and triangles. Did it with the lebron x too. Seems like designers are running out of ideas and just banging in random patterns to fill up space.
@caseyflinders @MartinD44 "running out of ideas" that's not possible, that's like running out of ways to string words together to make a new sentience. The angular shapes are a trend. That's why you see similar design cues on some recent designs.
