Kevin Durant gets to join the Elite series this year, launching his Nike Basketball model into an upper echelon of craftsmanship, design, and of course price. It looks like the sneakers might be getting the black and gold treatment to go along with the colorful “Superhero” release that’s on its way, as hinted at here by the clean black and gold boxes that the Nike KD V Elite will come in. Tell us below if you’re looking forward to the debut of the Nike KD V Elite and stay tuned for the latest developments on Kevin Durant’s sneakers.
about time, not only does KD finally get his own box not that cheap orange sh it, but also a better quality shoe with better materials!
Anybody remember this?
John Canzano reported that one of the sticking points for Durant in his negotiations with Nike and Adidas is a commitment to make a shoe that is at a price point that most individuals could afford. That price point is rumored to be between $39 and $69.
@sgltito dayumn, the shoes look amazing... so the box must be off the chain then!
@walthagen yeah i remember people saying things like that like...i dunno 3 years ago. everybody's shoe costs more than it did 3 years ago. I'm sure Nike can be pretty persuasive when they wanna be...i'd still rather be paying 115 than 250 lol
Well KD will be releasing the KD Trey 5. Im guessing this will be a signature model but offered in a cheaper price. I agree with @caseyflinders, guys that love the KD range like myself are glad the KD V Elite had a full overhaul. Better performance by the looks of things.
@ZacIsNug_BP @walthagen Pretty sure its also because of the guys like me that love KD, love the Nike KD range... but also wanted a better QUALITY version of his kicks. Cheaper materials keeps the cost down, in helping keep that price point affordable for the kids as were his demands. But also, why not give us older guys an OPTION to buy something else with top quality within the KD range. Because we have the means to pay more. Enter the ELITE! Well done Nike.
