Most of Jordan Brand recent Retro releases utilizing this black suede material have been absolutely on point. With that said, the upcoming Air Jordan V “Black Grape” might be one of the best releases of the year because the quality and colorway have combined to create a perfect Retro+ colorway (much like the Air Jordan IV “Cavs” of last year). It’s really the perfect colorway for Grape-lovers who are looking for another vine to pick off from, and although a release date hasn’t been confirmed yet, there’s no doubt that this 2013 release is going to be in the cross-hairs for sneakerheads around the globe. A detailed look is just below so flip through the gallery and let us know if these are a better draw than the OG Grapes.

Black/New Emerald-Grape Ice
If they put a higher quality on their shoes then they would raise the pric instead of 160$ it would be 250$
My metallic Vs still look pretty nice from a couple years back. The 'suede' seems to be holding up pretty nice.
@geeman4life it could be the dust settling on the shoes, black suede and nubuck materials gets dusty easily
Your so right please tell that to the clowns who dont understand that, they dont seem to understand that this kinda material attracts lint & dust. All u gotta do is have a kiwi horse brush and your fine to go, hopefully ppl will see the view on this.
i agree my dude. glad we can have a respectful convo. and yes im grown. 36y/o. i dont know everything and dont claim too.. i just kno the diff in quality from then till now and kno the material being used today is unsatisfactory. just my opinion and what i believe. i still cop most every pair releasing today, not extremly happy w it but nonethelesss im a fan of of jays regardless. anyway - much love bro - keep plugin your thoughts.
I respect u too.big hoime but at then end of the day these are just shoes. They all serve the same purpose and u cant do anymore in the original ones then the retro ones. Only thing is ppl tend to.forget is the shoes made today are from synthentics, therefore lots of ppl.will be disappointed. Me i understand what goes on and we dont live in tge 90's anymore, everything has changed
@hozezae- nubuck/durabuck = trash. plain and simple. theres no reasoning, explaining, research that can change that. i think most folks that buy J's know this, although i do respect ur input.
no one is asking for suede to come back. i think those that are smart enough kno its not coming back. and sure they look good but dont they all ?? until release day only to be disapointed over again. haha
How long have u been collecting or paying attention. U do kno durabuck is the weakest of them all right, u talking isnt far from it. Nubuck replaced durabuck bcuz of it was limited and couldnt expand like nubuck and what high quality nubuck is today. Nubuck is not trash, u have basic nubuck and upgraded nubuck that resemebles suede which they use now, thats what durabuck couldnt do bcuz it could evolve. And lastly u dont kno but nubuck is a greater quality.material than suede and it costs higher as well. Suede is a dope material but again its easily damaged by anything. Go look up nubuck & suede and do some reseach on it. They are really not that didnt nubuck is just tougher and last longer and suede is softer and have a shorter life span. All the new nubuck J's got that suede appeal but its really nubuck, again thats the evolution of nubuck my friend.
You gotta realize even the best quality suede or nubuck gets attracts dust. You can wish all you want for the old materials used, but they aren't coming back its just a reality the sneaker community needs to realize. The Black Grapes look like a great quality shoe but I won't judge till I have them in my hands.
or maybe its just that BS material JB putting out.. ohhh lets see here.. for the past few yrs??? nubuck is trash.. durabuck isnt far from it. anything less than the suede JB USED to put out is just "C" grade substitute material. just saying.
