Complex’s 25 Retired NBA Players Who Deserved Signature Sneakers
We’ve had the discussion here on Sneaker News about which current NBA players deserve a signature model, but what about those whose times in the spotlight have come and gone? Complex has taken on the task of compiling a list of players who they believe deserved their own model and had the star power to move some units, but never got to that level for whatever reason. Guys included range from Oscar Robertson, John Stockton, Manute Bol, Dell Curry, and more. See a small selection after the jump and then get the full piece from Complex.
yo time out from the game...lol. why did complex say reggie is everyones least favorite commentator? homeboy knows his shit and hes better than anybody ESPN has.
You could probably make a case for Oscar, Isaiah, and Wilt. Not sure why Manute Bol warrants a signature sneaker. Great shotblocker, decent 3 point shooter, but honestly, an average player at best.
John Stockton, while Hall of Fame worthy for his playing skills, am really not sure how kids would lust after a pair of John Stocktons. Unless, it was marketed towards those middle-aged white men in nuthuggers that preach nothing but basketball fundamentals. (not that there is anything wrong with that; just saying though)
this is stupid. signature shoes go to the best players in the nba. melo bron kobe kd cp3 etc. there are people on this list that were never even all stars
@TheKid shut your ass kid
So ur sayin Oscar Robertson, Isaiah Thomas or John Stockton are not some of da greatest to ever play... All 3 I might add are on da 50 greatest NBA players of all time list
Arguably da best shooter da NBA has ever seen... Even Reggie Miller, Larry Bird & Marc Price said dat... 1 hell of a hooper... R.I.P. petro
@Da_Real_Big_Infinite of course several of them were great and definitely deserved signature shoes. a lot of the guys mentioned on that list however werent anything special. you completely missed my point
