The Vans Era is a skateboarding icon. Its continued success proves that people very much like knowing what they’re getting into, and the Era consistently pleases in a huge range of styles. One thing that’s common to the vast majority of them is a white waffle sole, whether it happens to have a contrasting foxing stripe or as has been increasingly the case in recent years, an all-white ‘marshmallow’ approach. Just on the other side of the Sole Classics ‘Carmen’ revelation, we see more evidence of the Era dabbling in colored soles, as the ‘Pop’ Outsole Era sets up a clean Grey/Neon with the kind of simple yet engaging look we’re surprised we haven’t seen more often already. Look for this to change moving forward because this style is peaking right now and they’re sure to be a popular choice with the tantalizing $45 pricetag up for grabs straight from Vans.
