The Air Jordan IX “Photo Blue” release of the Holiday 2012 was perhaps one of the most oddball stories in recent sneaker memory. To quickly recap, a factory error product a large number of shoes with the incorrect color on the outsole, but instead of disposing of the shoes, Nike decided to release them as B-Grades exclusively through Nikestore. The story gets a little more confusing because Sneaker News brings you this exclusive story on yet another unreleased version of the Photo Blue/Black Air Jordan IX as we bring you a very first look at the patent-leather version that never made it to production. Sharing the same Photo Blue/Black colorway, this unreleased Air Jordan IX Retro uses patent leather on the upper with black nubuck for a pretty interesting colorway that might’ve fit right in with the “Kilroy Pack” concept. Should these have released? Check out the exclusive gallery below and let us know know what you think. Many thanks to Jae Jung for the photos!
Hey throw blue on 9s and it's settled, usually I say no to patent leather when it's not on XIs but these are actually nice.
these might not have sold too well. just cus i think we were all pretty sick of 9's around that time last year. but if they were to drop alone now, i think there'd be some little lines forming. dope ass cw
Damn JB...why wouldn't you release these instead of those wack white bottoms. These are even nicer than the black bottoms.
@scaredmagic Yes on your face....Lol!!
