wale air jordan iii flight club Wale Explains Air Jordan III Significance to The Gifted Album

Did you hear the news about Wale heading to Flight Club in NYC and buying out the entirety of their Air Jordan III stock? This little video captures that expensive endeavor. Wale explains a little bit of his reasoning behind it, the biggest connection being the fact that his upcoming The Gifted disc will be his third album. One of his associates also mentions the fact that they’ll be releasing all 88 of the pairs with some sort of custom additions, which might be that Jordan Brand project he hinted at. Get the video after the jump and stay tuned to see what Wale’s got planned with his Air Jordan III stockpile.

*100 other dudes that hit mainstream. And you hate Hip-Pop? What exactly is Fab then? That kid is straight New Jack fluff.

If Fabolous is your best MC in the game, you've nullified any other point you wanted to make. Both he and this cat are average at best.

I know that this song is going to be on repeat...God please don't let 2 Chainz have a horrible verse in this song, lol!  I wish I could have got a pair of those with his signature.

Wale is a sneaker clown.

If at all he were to do a Jordan brand collab I really don't think he would have to go buy out Flight Club of their whole size run, Jordan Brand would be supplying the shoes, and more than likely they would not let him touch the 3's. Kanye didn't so why would Wale? Using them for inspiration, sure. I am pretty sure he is more than likely going to get JBF Customs to do the custom work.

DC stand up !!!

It's all money... people who really truly want a pair of these would be able to get a pair only thru resell price. LIKE seriously, sucks that nothing works the way it should be... it'd be cool if he did a raffle or something with the album purchased worldwide. guess I'm a little bit bitter I left NY/the States not too long ago : (

Wale is the next Kanye, but I'd like to see the 3s he's come up with

-__- I say that because these might get over-hyped like Yeezys and the resale price will skyrocket

@DiPdeeeZ Are you retarded or something??? Wale is one of the best lyrical artit out right now and in the top 20 of best EVER. And im not talking about these MMG song and albums, thats just how you make your money. Go and listen to "Attention Deficit", "Mixtape about nothing", and more importunely "More about nothing". Wale hands down is the best lyrical writer in the game at this time next to fab.

Whoa you say all time?! I heard Wale had fans but not delusional ones. I can easily name 50 MCs who is better lyrically. Hell Phonte from Little Brother is a wayyyy better lyricist than Wale. Did you hear how awful his first album was?! He even thought adding Mark Ronson production would give it a more so DC feel but it made it worse. I ain't saying he trash bc he have his moments but he no where near a top 20. Not even the top 10 on his class.

@StubbornSerb U deleting your comments? And look yo,  I know every single artist you know and listened to everybody imaginable. We were talking about wale being a poet before you stepped in. Depending how you put his style, among some of the best, his poetry on all different little flows across a genre of subjects is straight ill. Not many can be that versatile, even some of the greats of all time, even though I would put them ahead of Wale any day. I would put any of the Big's ahead of wale in talking about the streets, but wale would defiantly have them any day in a deep real song about love or some shit (The War for example). More importantly, don't think any of the could be cassidy or Mos Def in a battle rap or freestyle, respectively .  At the same time, you wanna switch to some deep smart rap shit Nas would arguably take that little sub genre. You wanna talk about some real shit that paints a picture, the award will go to immortal technique arguably. But you can make this argument about any rapper  in place of rapper I just put and the list could go on and on about whos better. Thats not my point!  The point is Wale is no where close to be trash. He is a superb poet who doesn't get to showcase his real skills, compared to what hes forced to put out by labels. Think Lupe in his Lasers album most recently. These people never take the time to go back and listen to the real artist before making a dumb ass remark like that. And if you still want to argue, we can continue to add to the list if you want? Black Sheep, A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, NWA, Public Enemy, Nate Dogg, Warren G, BuSta, Hell Beanie Siegel lol, Snoop, Zulu Nation, Luda, Bone Thugs...the list could go on and on.

No, you said he was top 20 of all time and the best doing it right now. Everyone on your list would laugh at that comment and the Fabolous comment. You may dig him. No worries. I also like 10-15 cuts in the Fabolous catalog. But neither of them hold a candle to anyone else on that list as well as about 50-1

@StubbornSerb and again your complelty missing the point. this dude said wale  " is trash on the mic.". This isn't a list of who u think is better, it was a point to prove a statement false. So please don't get your panties in a bunch lol.

@StubbornSerb I clearly said off the top of my head. But I guess that why ur name is stubborn, cause you to stubborn to actually read..smh. And if you don't think Fab isn't one of the nicest lyricist to ever touch a mic your crazy. You can Rakim, Common, or anybody else you think is nice and Fab would easily be on their list. Have you not listed to this dudes similes, metaphors, triple entree meanings. you must be sleep.

StubbornSerb

Rakim? Common? Ras Kass? Chuck D? KRS? This clown doesn't sniff top 50 all time. Neither does Fab.

@justwin I aint talking about in the game right now, im talking about all time. If I had to list 19 people next to wale, easily it would be  Eminem, Jay, Mos Def, Talib, Big L, Big, Big Pun, Tupac, Andre 3000, Old 50, DMX, Faboulous, Joell Ortiz, Joe Budden, Lupe, Mobb Depp, Nas, Wu Tang (a group), CLipse (a group). and I mean that 19 off the top of my head that I can put him next to. If thats not an accomplishment idk what it??? Considering there 100's of more artist who are bigger and have been bigger then Wale and who completely suck balls when it comes to be a real poet/lyricist. Not this Hip-POP shit coming out these days.

I've been listening to Wale for yrs bro and he is a poet but top 20 lyricist ain't really an accomplishment considering that its not many lyricist out these days. And even if he was he'd probably be ranked exactly at 20. I can name a lot of MCs who has better lyrics and better delivery.

@justwin @JFresh_136 don't ask me this guy is mental if he actually thought that
