The Jordan Son of Mars Low is a sneaker tied up in the history of the Michael Jordan/Spike Lee relationship. You’ll recall that the first version, the Jordan Son of Mars, came bearing elements from all of the Air Jordan releases in which Spike helped to promote, with the sum total of its influences being the Air Jordan III, Air Jordan IV, Air Jordan V, Air Jordan VI, and the Air Jordan XX. This year’s Jordan Son of Mars Low trims the fat just a little bit though, casting off the Air Jordan XX details to focus instead on that consecutive run from the Air Jordan III to the VI while maintaining a lower-than-usual cut on a Jordan sneaker. The resulting design has a lot of catching up to do if it wants to be regarded in the same breath the Jordan Spiz’ike, but there is a new colorway dropping this Saturday at Foot Locker that is turning some heads.
While we’ve seen two colorways of the Son of Mars Low already hit stores, this soon-to-arrive “White/Cement” has been as attractive as a Retro, with “original” cues coming together in harmony. We’ll break down some of the details here, so check out the gallery and stay tuned for a release in a few days at Foot Locker and other select retailers.

I have the son of mars before these. The retro combo with those worked to me, although people complained about the strap which I had no problem with. This SOM is just badly put together IMO, I'm not passing because their not Retros I'm passing because I don't like them.
I personally dont see y these are considered trash Imess with the sons ofmars i own 2 pairs of them Plp make it like if u don't cop somethinglike the 1 ~13ur nothing i really don't see how
Y'all are sleeping on this like you all did the Phoenix Retro 8's. I respect the Son of Mars. I guess since these aren't hard to get they arent sweet. But these will add some juice to a good fit tho. Most people don't even know the retros like that. They just go into finish line and buy them for the brand.
Fusion are good idea to me (fuck the haters!) But c'mon guys! Don't use the same CW as OG stuffs! The purple is nice, the yellow is ok (the problem being that the shoes are yellow..) but this one: NO!
this shoe woulda been kinda dope if it didnt have the 5 tongue. Honestly people just hate on this shoe because its NOT HARD TO GET. Fuck, if you like it, wear it. fuck what other people think....
no matter how much good things SN say about this shoe, to me it will always look like a trash shoe that are made for people who can't purchase the actual 4's 5's and 6's.
@wcwktb Man you can't even come at em like that tho. These shoes are raw. And if you already own retros why not try something new? I thought thats what being a sneaker head was all about.
@wcwktb Thats cus you are a typical sheep who will only pay +200 for some outdated retro shoe that came out in the 80's. People like you are the true fools who keep buying the SAME SHOE in the SAME COLORS over and over again when shit about them hasnt changed or evolved since the 1980's. LMAO.
@Air Steve I know right, this shoe is pretty cool but they're tryna hype it like it's the grapes
^ You obviously don't collect Js or sneakers, some do it because it's a piece of their childhood, others because of hype, but mostly for the personal or famous history of it. If they were outdated why are 1 year olds in Jordans?lmao....
@JFresh_136 My argument isnt against retros, its against those who only see "retro" and assume it must be great and everything else sucks. lol. This is a good shoe for $130. I wish they didnt have both elephant and cement, I would have liked cement only cus i'm sick of elephant print on J's but hey....... and the ones that come out NEXT weekend the Son of Mars DTRT, I'm getting two pair of those if I can cus I LOVE bright, non-traditional CW's....but thats just my taste....
@JFresh_136 lol. yeah cus they get an endless supply of whatever shoe they want. They can just replace them. I'm sayin you orme couldnt do it cus one game and theyd be ruined cus the quality has gone down hill on em.....Shit.... my true blue 3's instantly creased in about hours from walking around in stores lol
@JFresh_136 Actually, I do collect "some" Jordans. I have a lot of the "must have" iconic Jordans including some rare heat like Columbia 11's & OG Space Jams, Concords, True Blue 3's etc.......BUT I am not so close minded like so many "retro only" jokers are where they would rather have 50 of the exact same shoe at every release and call EVERYTHING else that isnt popular or a "retro", trash. I love how people get made fun of for liking Spizikes & Son Of Mars. God forbid, someone have on a different pair of shoes on their feet than EVERYONE else. Spizikes are referred to as garbage and trash all the time yet they are better made than majority of the newer re-released retros. I get the retros are iconic cus they were worn by Jordan himself on the court, but that doesnt mean every Jordan that releases outside of something he actually wore in a game is trash. And yes Jordans were a performance BASKETBALL shoe when he wore them, not a fashion status symbol like they are today. And yes, for the purpose they were invented for ya know (BASKETBALL), they are outdated. People wont/cant even ball in Jordan retros anymore .
