Junior Griffey’s back for the All-Star game. Unfortunately they’ll just be his shoes making an appearance and not his presence in the Home Run Derby. In honor of the MLB All-Star game arriving in Queens this weekend, Nike will be releasing the Air Griffey Max 1 “MLB All-Star”. The shoes feature a unique colorway with a speckled midsole, icy clear bottom, and a grey grid pattering in what looks like an homage to the World’s Fair Unisphere in Carona Park just minutes away from Citi Field. For a better view scroll below and pick up the shoes this Saturday, July 13th at retailers like 21Mercer.

Nike is seriously destroying a classic model with all these horrible colorways and half ass quality materials....THESE ARE STRAIGHT DOO DOO MEAT!!!!!!!!!

I owe plenty griffey max 1's (most recently the sea Hawks, recent cw r fuck shit) and these probably go the hardest since the OG's. Whack part is going all the way to DT from Boston, and pay city tax. Not sure I'm bout all that.

white strap reminds me of mid air force ones, and I hate mid white air force ones.

Nothing positive can be said about these kicks... These should go straight to outlets across china... Or raffle them off at the allstar game and give the proceeds to the factory workers who were forced to make this wackness...

These are alright, at least there's no patent leather on it

What, U think the proceeds should go to a charity in the U.S instead.... U can't disagree that this sneaker is wack? U gotta be disagreeing with where they should go to outlets first.. I mean to each is own... It's just when u used to seeing a classic (griffey max 1s) sneaker then they tweak it, it becomes a let down...

I should of elaborated, my fault for that. In response to what u said, they didn't screw this one up. The space jam joints are weak, these a lil all star special, kinda like the Barkley posites 72, so I could let that slide. I come from the era of af1's all star specials regular homies couldn't cop, and these seem exclusive if they're only selling on mercer. That's what I look for in release sometimes

So u understand, word. I probably won't even get these, I got ish to do sat.nite lol. Respect

Now u talking... Im from that same era, especially when it comes to Af1s... I hold allstars to high standards and these don't do it for me... Most all stars stand out and usually have a theme which goes with the hosting city..I'm pretty sure these will not sell out that fast in Mercer, not like some past all stars. Especially for me being from BkNY, I feel like these could have been a lot better to rep NYC.. Much respect thu homie... Peace
