We’ve seen several recent Air Jordan Retros referencing vanquished Chicago Bulls foes. The team Michael Jordan defeated to win his first NBA Championship gets a shout out on an upcoming release for the shoe from MJ’s last pre-title season in the Air Jordan V ‘Lakers’. Here’s the newest model in the Jumpman flagship lineage, the Air Jordan XX8 taking on those same Showtime shades. This one is mostly gold and white the same pattern as last month’s ‘DTRT’ drop, adding purple on the inner bootie and some metallic flecking in the clear outsole. Check them out both zipped up and down after the jump, let us know which orientation looks better and stick with Sneaker News for updates including a release date.

@NoahMcnasty do you like the 28's? I hear the front rubber piece isn't that strong? True? just wondering before i invest 250 in nothing.

@amarakoryus  they are really good shoes. the tread on the sole holds up great on indoor courts but on concrete or asphalt it naturally rubs down th tread faster. I haven't had any problems with the front piece on mine. overall I would give them an 8.5 comfort is great, they are really light and the color way with the shroud are usually pretty awesome.
